Office of Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences organized an online workshop for MS/PhD students in collaboration with Economic Cooperation Organization Educational Institute (ECOEI) on the topic of “How to Write and Publish Articles for International Journals”
The ECOEI is an intergovernmental organization and a specialized agency of Economic Cooperation Organization. The workshop’s main objective was to enhance the academic writing skills of graduate students seeking a research. degree and implement the procedures for submitting evaluating and publishing academic journals.
In the welcoming remarks, Prof. Dr Amna Mahmood, Dean FSS, admired ECOEI for providing an excellent opportunity to the students at International Islamic University Islamabad to understand how to write and successfully publish their research work.
Workshop resource person, Dr. Gonca Biltekin, managing editor of All Azimuth, A Journal of Foreign Policy and Peace, focused writing process of a scholarly article: research question, literature review, hypotheses, case selection, and methods of data collection and analysis, submission and revision process of the article: and correspondence with the journal editors. The workshop was attended by faculty members and MS/PhD students from Faculty of Social Sciences.
