A Psychological Services Clinic was inaugurated here at female campus at the department of Psychology by Vice President Academics, IIUI Dr. Muhammad Bashir Khan.
The inaugural ceremony was also attended by Dean Social Sciences Dr. Nabi Bux Jummani, Director Academics Dr. Tahir Khalily, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Shabbir Ahmed Kallu, Director Female Campus, Dr. Samina Malik, chairperson of the department and other relevant officials and faculty members.
Dr Bashir Khan said on the occasion that this clinic will open new horizons of research and practice for the scholars and students. He was of the view that prevailing circumstances lead individuals towards various mental disorders. He emphasized that the clinic should also focus on urging the patients for human to human interaction and said that gadgets have made the world virtual which becomes a cause of psychological issues.
The event was also addressed by Dr. Nabi Bux Jummani, Dr. Shabbir Ahmed Kallu, Dr. Tahir Khalily and Dr. Samina Malik who hailed the efforts of department and termed the establishment of the clinic as a constructive development.
