Vice President Academics Dr. Ayaz Afsar visited the Human Resource Department where he visited its various sections. During his visit, he held meetings with Director Human Resource, Syed Hassan Aftab and Incharges of the various sections of HR including HR I, HR-II,HR,III,IV, HR-V and IT section of HR.
The vice President was briefed by the Director HR on various points and functions of the Directorate. He apprised of the process of hiring, job description, eligibility criterion, process of short listing, training, performance evaluation and other matters.
During the visit of various sections of HR, the IIU VP was also apprised on issues, functions and scope of the sections. He was told by the officers regarding job analysis, efforts to maintain equilibrium of human resource in administration and faculty, and the need for refresher courses. He was also briefed in detail about the newly adopted E-Office app of the ministry of IT. He was told that IIUI is the first university to adopt the application of the Ministry. He was also informed on the response of the applicants to the recently advertised posts on IIUI job portal.
The IIU Vice President said that merit must be the top priority and all the rules and procedure must be followed. He said training and performance of the human resource is also an important aspect that he directed must be taken care of. He also underscored the need for refresher courses and utilization of the academically highly qualified staff.
