DEPARTMENT OF URDU HOLDS SESSION DR. ANWAAR AHMED

A session with famous literary figure Dr. Anwaar Ahmed was held here at female campus of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI).

Dr. Anwaar is known for his altruistic services in literature especially in the field of short stories, critiques research, and also looking after a literary magazine as well, while he had been awarded pride of performance by the government of Pakistan in recognition of his services.

The session was an effort of the Chairperson of the department of Urdu Dr. Najeeba Arif which was also attended by Dr. Aziz Ibn ul Hassan, Head of the department, Urdu (male campus), Dr. Munaza Yaqoob, Chairperson of the department , Department of English , Dr. Kamran Kazmi and students of the department.

“The crux of the experiences of my life I got was nothing but truth, I learnt from teachers and the life that truth is the ultimate attribute to be practiced in the life” said Dr. Anwaar. His session with the audience also included structure of short stories, symbolic narrations, creativity in prose and popular fiction.

Dr. Aziz Ibn ul Hassan hailed the services of Dr. Anwaar and highlighted various aspects of his personality. He said that Dr. Anwaar owned a unique style of narration. Dr. Najeeba Arif said in his remarks that Dr. Anwaar be called teacher of the teachers and added that he is an institution of literature. He appreciated his services for giving new avenues to the prose in Urdu literature.
