UNIVERSITY BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE MEETS

University Beautification Committee met here at the new campus under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. N.B. Jumani (Vice-president, AF&P).

The committee reviewed the agenda items in the light of direction and  vision of the IIU President Dr. Hathal Homoud Al-otaibi who is keen to implement the action to make IIU a leading hub of learning as well as he has given the task to committee to make this campus as unique and exquisite as its lofty goals are.

The meeting was also joined by Vice President Academics Prof. Dr. Ayaz Afsar, Nasir Farid Convener of the committee (In-charge P&PR), Abdullah Jazi Aldossari , Additional Director (President Office) , Al-Hassan, Assistant Director P&PR and other relevant officials.

The committee reviewed the matters related to the horticulture. The committee recommended that white wash of the trees must be completed by the end of July. It was decided that it will be mandatory for all the gardeners to wear uniform during office time and their performance report shall be prepared.  On the occasion, renovation of the council hall such as its white wash and a revamped look were discussed and it was recommended that the renovation be completed within minimum time.

On the occasion, the Chair said that as per vision of the Worthy President IIU , it is a top priority to get maximum output within the available resources, while best utilization of the of the facilities and human resource shall be ensured without creating any financial burden on the university.

The committee also discussed beautification of the entrance gates of the university and agreed to ensure best renovation and prettification so that it may have a pleasant impact on the visitors. The committee also recommended that lawns situated within the blocks in the campus should be beautified with the participation of faculty and students. The committee also recommended same for the hostel lawns.

The committee desired that all the notice boards in the hostels must be made presentable and if required renovation be made on the priority basis. In addition, benches may be placed in the lawns of the hostels.

The committee also discussed matter related to security beef up at the university gates as well as boundary wall of the university. The Security Office was also directed by the chair to ensure zero presence of stray dogs and animals on campus.  Agenda of opening of the police line gate after renovation was also discussed.

Later, The Vice President AF&P along with the committee members also visited the police line side main entrance gate and reviewed completion.
