Two-Day PPRA e-PADS Training Enhances Procurement Capacity at IIUI

A comprehensive two-day training session on the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority’s e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (PPRA e-PADS) was held at the Smart Lab of Faculty Block-3 at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). The training was attended by 25 officers and staff members and was conducted by Engr. Syed Asif Kamal.

The session focused on building institutional capacity in online public procurement. Participants were provided detailed guidance on e-PADS procedures, stages of digital procurement, document preparation, bidding mechanisms, and compliance requirements. Special attention was given to the upgraded features of EPADS Version 2.0, including improved system performance, enhanced user interface, real-time monitoring of procurement activities, centralized record management, and strengthened regulatory compliance.

The trainer also introduced participants to digital workflow automation, secure online bid submission, evaluation tracking, and audit-ready documentation. Through practical examples and live demonstrations, Engr. Syed Asif Kamal ensured a clear understanding of effective and transparent procurement practices aligned with modern regulatory standards.

A question-and-answer session was held at the conclusion of the training, allowing participants to seek clarification on technical and procedural matters. The session was described as beneficial and practical, with participants expressing the need for continued professional training initiatives to further strengthen transparency, efficiency, and accountability within the university. The initiative reflects IIUI’s ongoing commitment to institutional development and improved governance practices in line with its broader vision of administrative excellence.
