A Turkish delegation headed by President Pak-Turk Friendship (PTF) Foundation visited International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) on Wednesday at Faisal Masjid Campus. IIUI. It was welcomed by Vice President (Academics) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily, Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq, Director General, Islamic Research Institute (IRI), IIUI and Director QEC, Dr. Syed Tahir Hussain Rizvi.
The President PTF Foundation thanked IIUI leadership for warm hospitality and hailed IIUI for its services to Muslim world. They said that university was an omen of Muslim unity where almost every country was being presented by its students.
On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily briefed the delegation about the institutes, academies, centers and faculties of the IIUI and also told them about the international students at the university. He said that IIUI is keen to disseminate Islam’s message of peace and it has been playing a meaningful role in this regard by arranging international conferences, seminars and discussions. He also told about the university’s MoUs with educational institutions of the world.
During the meeting PTF Foundation President also told that Rector of IKC University Izmir Turkey will visit in near future for signing MoUs with IIUI leadership. On this occasion the delegation also discussed various academic projects for future endeavors.
