Shari’ah Academy Conducts Islamic Law Orientation Course at Tenacious Law College

The Shari’ah Academy of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) organized a two-day Islamic Law Orientation Course at Tenacious Law College, Taj Residencia, Rawalpindi, from 3 to 4 November 2025. The course aimed to acquaint law students with the fundamental principles of Islamic jurisprudence and its role in addressing contemporary legal challenges.
More than twenty-five students participated in the course, which featured lectures by prominent scholars including Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram, Director General of Shari’ah Academy; Prof. Dr. Abdul Haye Abro, former Director General of Shari’ah Academy; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir Mansoori, former Vice President (Higher Studies & Research); and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Munir, former Vice President (Academics, Finance & Planning). The sessions covered key areas of Islamic legal thought, interpretation, and its application in modern legal systems.
The concluding ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Munir and Mr. Sehr Hammad Khan, Principal of Tenacious Law College. Addressing the participants, the Principal appreciated the efforts of IIUI and the Shari’ah Academy for extending academic cooperation and announced that similar training programs will be held regularly to strengthen students’ understanding of Islamic law.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates among the participants, followed by a group photograph commemorating the successful completion of the course.
