Saudi Shura Council Delegation Visits Faisal Mosque

Islamabad – A high-level delegation of Saudi Arabia’s Shura Council, led by General Dr. Abdulrahman bin Snhat Al-Harbi, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Committee, visited Faisal Mosque on the evening of June 23.

 

The delegation is currently in Pakistan on the invitation of the Government of Pakistan. Upon arrival at the mosque, the guests were received by Director General of Dawah Academy, Professor Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, and Head of Faisal Mosque Islamic Centre, Dr. Qari Zia ur Rehman. The delegation toured various parts of the mosque and appreciated the architectural design. They also offered Maghrib prayers at the mosque.

 

Members of the delegation expressed deep regard for the people of Pakistan, stating that the bond between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan goes beyond diplomacy and is rooted in shared faith and values.

 

During the visit, the Director General of Dawah Academy briefed the delegation about the services of Faisal Mosque, the academy’s departments, and the educational and research contributions of the International Islamic University Islamabad toward the Muslim world.

 

The visit is being seen as a step forward in strengthening the longstanding relationship and enhancing people-to-people ties between the two brotherly nations.
