Mr. Saeed Akbar, a PhD Scholar at the Department of Sociology of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) successfully defended his thesis.
Topic of his research was “The impact of Central Indus Wetlands Complex on socio-economic status of fishermen communities in the Punjab and Sindh”. His study was supervised by Prof. Dr. Saif Abbasi and Co-Supervisor was Dr. Farhan Navid Yousaf. For the Viva voce exam internal examiners was Dr. Muhammad Babar Akram, while External Examiners were Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Zafar, Former Vice-Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad and Dr. Aneela Sultana, Chairperson, Department of Anthropology, Qauid-e-Azam University, Islamabad
