Role Play Activity on Key Figures in Pakistan’s History

The Department of Teacher Education, Faculty of Education at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), organized a role play activity focusing on key figures in Pakistan’s history.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by an introductory note and welcome address by the focal person, Ms. Bushra Rehman. Students participated in role plays and set up cultural stalls representing various regions of Pakistan, including Punjab, Potohar, Sindh, Balochistan, and Kashmir.

Faculty members from the Department of Teacher Education (DoTE) and Department of Educational Leadership and Management (DoELM) visited the stalls and engaged with students, providing feedback on the role plays and their educational impact.

Dr. Muhammad Munir Kayani, Chairperson DoTE, emphasized the significance of such activities in promoting active learning. Dr. Munnaza Mehmood commended the students’ organization and encouraged continued participation. Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal appreciated the portrayal of women’s contributions and encouraged female students to remain engaged. Dr. Zarina Akhtar and Dr. Alina Raza also acknowledged the students’ efforts and stressed the value of practical learning experiences.

Dr. Azhar Mahmood, Chairperson DoELM, also attended the event and expressed support for the continuation of such academic engagements.

The event concluded with a feedback session where faculty members shared their observations and appreciated the students’ efforts. Ms. Bushra Rehman expressed gratitude to all faculty, students, and staff for their support in organizing the activity.
