REGIONAL DAWAH CENTRE HOLDS REFERENCE IN MEMORY OF DR. ABDUL HALEEM CHISHTI

A condolence  reference in the memory of famous Islamic scholar and Muhadis Dr. Abdul Haleem Chishti was held at Regional Dawah Centre (Karachi) of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).

The reference was attended by Abdul Shaheed Naumani, Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Sani, Dr. Ghani ul Akram Sabzwari, various other intellectuals and students o various universities and seminaries.

Every student of Library and Information is familiar with the name of late Dr. Abdul Haleem as he was a PhD in this subject and his services in the field of Islamic Library are commendable, Said Dr. Aziz ur Rehman, In-charge Regional Dawah Centre. Dr. Dhehzad Channa said his services as a Muhadis and researcher will be long remembered. Dr. Ghani Sabzwari former librarian at Um ul Qura university said library science witnessed an exquisite researcher in the form of Dr. Chisht.

Hafiz Muhammad Sani, Son of Dr. Abdul Haleem shared his memories of childhood and his father’s way of brought up. He told that Dr. Chishti wrote around 200 books . Dr. Abdul Shaheed Naumani also paid rich tributes to the scholar saying that Dr. Chisthi contributed a meaningful amount on Hadith and compilation of Fiqh. He shed light on his paper on Islamic civilization and culture. He told that the author benefited from more than 600 books for this research work. Ikhlaq Ahmed, Head Seminary of Ilahiya said he was the best teacher who had always made great contributions to constructive research.

Dr. Zafar Iqbal Former Vice Chancellor Federal Urdu University said that Dr. Chisiti is among leading scholars and Islamic researchers and his contributions are appreciable.
