An Islamic training workshop for media persons was organized by the Regional Dawah Centre, Da’wa Academy of International Islamic University Islamabad. The theme was “Journalism in Modern Times: Challenges and Solutions.” Dr. Shahzad Chana highlighted the academy’s activities, while Dr. Mehmood Ghaznavi stressed the importance of fact-checking in journalism, emphasizing that news should never be reported without confirmation.
Dr. Syed Aziz urRehman encouraged journalists to produce news in the light of the Holy Quran’s principles, which provide complete guidance. Mufti Khalid Bukhari discussed the importance of talent, ability, and hard work in achieving success. Irfan Malik highlighted the potential of social media in the invitation field, while Muneer Ahmed Rashid emphasized understanding the psychology of the people in society.
Muhammad Faisal Shahzad stressed the significance of language and expression in journalism, urging the use of correct words. Mahmood Sham delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of positive reporting and modern technology in addressing societal challenges. He praised the workshop’s topics, designed to meet contemporary requirements.
