An islamic orientation workshop for teachers was organized by Dawah Regional Centre of International Islamic University in Karachi.
Around 140 teachers from Mangho Peer joined the workshop.
The opening ceremony was joined by Education Officer Noreen Mastoi and Muhammad Hassan Gabol. The Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor Dr. Shehzad Channa addressed the ceremony and highlighted the role and decades long activities of the Dawah Academy and Regional Centre Karachi. Ms. Noreen emphasized on capacity building and the importance of training workshops. Hassan Gabol discussed the importance of teachers in character building of students.
In the second session, the expert and trainer Munir Ahmed Rashid delivered a lecture on educational psychology and padagogies.
In a special session, Incharge Dawah Regional Centre, Dr. Syed Aziz ur Rehman delivered a lecture on Introduction to Quran.He discussed the importance of the Holy book in daily life routine. He stressed upon teachers to involve the students in religious activities.
In the next day’s session, famous intellectual figure Musa Nisar delivered a lecture on the leadership role of teachers in society. He called for adoption of modern teaching techniques. Renowned trainer Farooq Edhi discussed the element of objectivity in teaching as well as he stressed for promoting book reading.
Mr. Afsar Ali Khan Mir, the education officer district west was the chief guest of the concluding ceremony who advised that the training of teachers must be reflected in the society and participants must apply the learnt techniques practically. He also distributed course completion certificates at the end of the ceremony.
