PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY FOR WINNERS OF ASHRA REHMATUL LIL ALAMEEN COMPETITIONS HELD

A prize distribution ceremony  for the winners of the competitions organized by the Dawah Center for Women (DCW) and Faculty of Usuluddin, Islamic Studies of the International Islamic University (IIU) in connection with the celebrations of Ashra of Rehmatul lil Alameen (Peace be Upon Him)  was held here at the female campus.

The competitions included Husn e Qirat, Hifz ul Quran, Naat Khawni, Speech and Seerah Quiz.

Competition of Husn e Naat was won by Haleema Sadia of Ussuludin, Hafiza Aqsa of biological sciences stood 2nd and Kainat Saif got of Faculty of Usulludin got 3rd position. In the competition of Hifz ul Quran , Hafiza Syeda Khaula of Shariah and Law got first position. Hafiza Maira Farheen  of Arabic got 2nd and Hafiza Zarwa Kainat of Shariah and Law got 3rd position.

In the speech competition Syeda Khaula of Shariah and Law stood 1st, Ayesha Yumna of Usulludin stood 2nd and Laiba Afzal of International Relations got 3rd position. In the Seerah Quiz Syeda Khaula , Bushra Maqbool won the 1st prize, while Mahnoor and Fatima Mushtaq  stood end. The third position was gotten by Hafsa and her team. In naat Khawni, Muneeba Asma of Department of Maths won the 1st prize, Mehr Amna of Education got second and Rafia Ilyas got 3rd position.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Executive Director, HEC  Dr. Shaista Sohail, as Chief Guest.

Vice President Academics, Professor Dr. Ayaz Afsar, Vice President Female Campus,. Dr. Farkhanda Zia, Director General Dawah Academy, Dr. Muhammad Ilyas , Dean Usulludin Dr. Taj Afsar, Dr. Shagufta Umar, Incharge Dawah Centre, Dr. Faryal Ambreen, Students Adviser Dr. Summiya Chughtaie and other university officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shaista Sohail highlighted the importance of women in society. She said women must keep in mind about their role as builders of the nation. She said it’s a woman who manages the home and society through her hard work and abilities in a balanced way. She also emphasized on the female students to be dedicated towards learning Islamic values. Vice President Academics appreciated the efforts of DCW and hoped such programs shall continue. Vice President Female campus presented the book of Dukhtran e Pakistan narrative to Dr. Shaista Sohail and Dr. Ayaz Afsar. Dr. Muhamamd Ilyas said  that the Academy through its units and centres playing its role in society. He also informed about an international Islamic training program that was organized by Dawah Academy.
