A ceremony of the Fast Cables Excellence Award was held here at the council hall of the International Islamic University (IIU) on Wednesday that was chaired by H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President of the university.
A cash prize of 1 lac rupees was awarded in the ceremony to Mr. Taimoor Ali Khan who completed his degree of Electrical Engineering by securing the highest CGPA. The ceremony was also attended by FAST Cables representatives including Mr. Ghulam Yaseen Qadri, , Regional Business Manager North and Mr. Shehzad Sabir Zonal Manager Sales.
Vice President A&F Dr. N.B. Jumani, Vice President R&E Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Dean FET, Director UAFA and Deputy Incharge of Alumni office also attended the ceremony.
IIUI President said on the occasion that the cooperation between IIUI and FAST Cables will pave the way for more joint ventures and joint collaborations for the promotion of education. He said that the university is keen to address the needs of society by preparing skilled graduates who can contribute in the best manner in the progress of the society and country. IIUI President also apprised that the university has a transparent mechanism of scholarship programs for the support of needy students under which they are being accommodated on merit and this step has been appreciated by the students and parents.
IIUI mission is to transform the society by promoting education, training, research, technology, and collaboration for reconstruction of human thought in all its forms on the foundations of Islam.
