Cooperation between Pakistani and Turkish educational institutions is imperative and Turkey is mulling to open an Islamic university similar to the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI).
This was said by the Mehmet Gormez, President of Turkish Religious Affairs on the occasion of his visit along with Turkish Ambassador, Babur Girgin and other delegation members to IIUI.
The delegation met with the varsity Rector, Dr. Masoom Yasinzai and later with IIUI’s Vice Presidents, Deans, Director General and other high officials.
“IIUI is an eminent asset of Muslim world, its Alumni have proved its caliber and lofty goals across the world” said Turkish head of Religious Affairs. He stressed that universities of Turkey and Pakistan should focus keenly on expanding mutual cooperation. This cooperation could be a pathway to solution of Muslim’s issues, he added.
Dr. Masoom Yasinzai apprised delegates about the university and said corruption and terrorism are leading global challenges which can only be defeated through education. He further

es. He opined that Muslim world requires individuals well-equipped of prevailing knowledge and a blend of Islamic teachings. IIUI reactor said that university is working on the lines of producing such skilled individuals aware of Islamic teachings. He maintained that IIUI would be founded of great help for all countries in regard of establishing universities similar to its nature. Dr. Masoom said that IIUI’s cooperation with the Islamic country’s universities would be a way to curb challenges faced by Muslim world.
Later, the delegation visited Faisal Masjid and a luncheon was hosted in the honour of Turkish delegates which was also attended by Federal Minister of Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf. On the occasion, a university crest was also presented to Turkish head of delegation
