NO PLACE FOR TERRORISM IN ISLAM, SAYS IIUI PRESIDENT

presidentSectarianism and terrorism have no place in Islam; it teaches tolerance, peace and mercy to fellow-men, said Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI).

 He expressed these views while addressing concluding ceremony of a three-month long 88th Training Course for Aima-o-Kuthba, organized by the Dawah academy of varsity which was attended by 35 participants across the country.

Dr. Al-Draiweesh termed dissemination of knowledge as Jihad while saying that Islamic scholars are the optimum community of any society as they play vital role in its uplift.

He lauded Dawah Academy for conducting such courses and said that efforts of Dawah Academy would help to eliminate the pessimistic thoughts of society.

President IIUI was of the view that those who were practicing violence were actually violating Islamic teachings, while he said those who were preaching Islam and disseminating knowledge without any biasness and extremism, were the actual servers of Islam.

Dr. Al-Dariweesh urged the participants to adopt the attitude of Taqwah and advised tdawahhat they should work for the elimination of violence from the society. Aima and scholars are the most precious asset of Muslim world, he said.

Director Maktaba Tu Dawah, Islamabad, Abu Saad Mohamed Bin Saad Al-Doussri who also joined the concluding ceremony, said that IIUI and its Dawah Acadmy were serving Muslim world with responsibility and dedication.

Dr. Sohail Hassan, Director Dawah Academy, said in his address that academy was offering courses comprising different aspects of Islam for professionals belonging to all walks of life. At the end, course completion certificates were granted by the IIUI President to the participants of course.
