bers delegation from Sokoto State University Nigeria headed by Professor Dr. Nuhu O. Yaqub, Vice-Chancellor Sokoto State University visited International Islamic University Islamabad and called on Dr. Masoom Yasinzai Rector IIUI. On the occasion Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh President IIUI, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Khan Vice President Academic, Dr. Muhammad Munir VP Higher Studies, Khalid Mahmood Raja Director General, Deans, Directors and high officials also attended the introductory session.
Dr. Nuhu O. Yaqub briefly introduced his university to participants of session. He also shared the expertises and contributions of Sokoto State University. He sought cooperation and assistance from IIUI in particular fields of research. Dr. Nuhu O. Yaqub lauded the efforts and contributions of IIUI for main stream Islamic 
teachings to all over the world. He extended his great felicity to visit IIUI and expressed his appreciation for IIUI’s role for Muslim Ummah. In his address, Dr. Masoom said IIUI values the students from countries of African regions and provides all possible facilities with highly learning environment at university camps.
Rector IIUI assured maximum cooperation and provision of opportunities and facilities for the students from across the world. Dr. Masoom apprised the delegation members that IIUI is fast growing university where students from more than forty nationals are being nurtured with contemporary requirements highly integrated with Islam. “IIUI is keen to disseminate true message of Islam peace and moderation by creating linkages with national and international institutions”. Rector IIU added. Dr. Al-Draiweesh briefed the delegation members about IIUI, its academic programs and up-coming plans and goals. He also shared varsity’s achievements, international linkages and contributions for promoting educational research in different fields.
