A meeting of the anti-harassment committee was held at new campus of the International Islamic University (IIU) under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Fazalullah, Dean Faculty of Arabic.
The chair and the committee members agreed that as per Direction of the Worthy President IIUI and in the light of existing approved policies and acts, it shall be ensured to devise a comprehensive anti-harassment policy and any complaints in this regard across the campus from students and employees shall be addressed on immediate basis.
It was also recommended by the committee that the harassment complaints can be sent via email at [email protected] . In addition, the female complainants can report on 0519258023 and male complainants can report on 0519019211.
The committee agreed there will be zero tolerance approach to discourage harassment in any form on campus and awareness campaign across the campus shall be launched. The chair formed a sub-committee of the members with a mandate to come up with the detail TORs of the policy. Dr. Fazalullah also desired that it must be mentioned in the awareness campaign that name of the complainant shall be kept confidential.
