KHATM E QURAN CEREMONY HELD AT NEW CAMPUS

A Khatm e Quran ceremony was held in the Masjid of the male hostels of the New Campus in International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI).

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Hafiz Ghufran Ali Khan, Students Advisor, Dr Muhammad Ibrar Shinvari Provost Hostels (M) and Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Anwar, Chairman Aima committee and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Shariah & Law.

As many as 21 Hufaaz recited the Quran in Taraweeh during the Holy Month of Ramadan.  They were presented with gifts in the ceremony.

On the occasion, the Dars e Quran was also held that was delivered by Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Anwar. It highlighted the importance of Ramadan and its significance in shaping the behaviours and outlook of Muslims. While congratulating the audience, he said that participants are lucky to have availed the opportunity to be a part of such a pious activity. He also highlighted the importance of the study of the Quran, stating that the Holy Month is the best source of gleaning knowledge and spirituality through an in-depth study of this divine text.

He emphasized on the students to devote their lives to the teachings of the Quran to attain fulfilment in all aspects of life. He thanked the Worthy President and the IIUI administration for their support.

On the occasion, expressing his views, Dr. H Ghufran Ahmad said that he felt privileged to be a part of this gathering. He also reiterated his resolve that students’ facilitation is his top priority. He also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Hafiz M. Anwar and his team. Dr Ibrar Shinvari also spoke at the event and guided the boarders to live together in harmony and avoid conflicts. The ceremony concluded with dua by Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Anwar.
