ISLAMIC RESEARCH INSTITUTE HELD 13TH SELECTION AND MONITORING COMMITTEE MEETING FOR INTERNATIONAL POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP

The Islamic Research Institute (IRI), International Islamic University, Islamabad convened the 13th meeting of the Selection and Monitoring Committee for its International Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at Dr. Zafar Ishaq Ansari Board Room. The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ahmad Shuja Syed, Vice President (Research & Enterprise), IIUI.

The meeting featured a detailed presentation by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq, Director General of IRI, outlining recent research achievements, academic initiatives, and capacity-building efforts under the fellowship framework.

 

Key outcomes of the meeting included:

1. Approval of Postdoctoral Research Topics for the 2024–25 session, ensuring alignment with IRI’s strategic research themes.

2. Endorsement of a New Call for Applications to invite eligible scholars for the next cohort of the prestigious IRI International Postdoctoral Fellowship.

 

The committee also offered valuable input on mentor assignments and program enhancements to ensure academic rigor and international relevance.
