Heads of Pakistani Universities, prominent figures of society and intellectuals will pay homage to Syed Ali Shah Geelani in a condolence reference to be held on Friday, October 01, at Faisal Masjid Campus organized by Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue (IRD) of IIUI.
The reference shall also be joined by former AJK Premier Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan as chief guest, while IIUI Rector Prof Dr Masoom Yasinzai shall preside over the reference.
The program is titled “We are Pakistanis — Pakistan is ours”. The program will be telecast live in all universities across the country.
Talking about the program, Dr. Husn-ul-Amim, Executive Director IRD, said that Syed Ali Shah Geelani, the Mujahideen and Martyrs have sacrificed and dedicated their lives to freedom and the activity is aimed at paying rich tributes to the untiring efforts. He said that the heads of most of the universities of the country have finalized their participation in the condolence reference. A documentary about Ali Geelani (late) will also be screened on the occasion.
