DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION HOLDS SESSION ON REVISION OF COURSE OUTLINES OF PROGRAMS

Department of Education of International Islamic University Islamabad, amid its work on revising and updating the scheme of studies of different programs, has revised the outlines of MS, M.Ed, M.A and BS programs of already approved scheme of studies.

The revision has been made by a committee of faculty members keeping in view the vision of IIUI, National needs, International trends and demands of 21st century.

A session of presentations by committee members under the Chairmanship of Prof. Dr. N. B. Jumani Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Dr. Samina Malik Chairperson Department of Education was held here at IIUI.

Expressing his views on the occasion, Dr. N. B. Jumani expressed gratitude to the faculty members for their extensive efforts and to the experts also for their valuable input adding that it will help in improving the quality of instructional process at the Department.

Earlier, Dr. Samina Malik, in her opening remarks appreciated the zeal of faculty members regarding their working.

Experts from other universities including Prof Dr. M. Aslam Asghar from Mohiuddin Islamic University Islamabad, Professor Hashim Abbasi from Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, Dr. Aliya Zafar Head Department of Humanities from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Islamabad and Dr. Muhammad Tanveer Afzal from Department of Secondary Teacher Education were also invited.

The experts appreciated the working of all committees and gave suggestions for further improvement. They emphasized that latest books in the outlines should be included and those books should be available in the library for students.

DCW HOLDS LECTURE ON “REALITY OF SPELL IN LIGHT OF QURAN AND SUNNAH”

Dawah Centre for Women (DCW) of International Islamic University organized a lecture Wednesday on “Reality of spell in light of Quran and Sunnah”.
On the occasion, lecture was delivered by the guest speaker Dr. Kanwal Qaisar while Incharge DCW Shagufta Omar, other DCW staff members, female students of IIUI and women hailing from different walks of life also joined the lecture.

In her speech, Dr. Kanwal said that most of the patients are taken as victim of spell which is not appropriate while patient first should be referred to the specialist Doctor instead of taking his condition as affected from spell.

She said that Quran is solution of all problems and its recitation should be a routine to remain safe from activities of spell. Answering to the questions of participants, she added that Giants does exist as per Quranic verses but it is also said by Allah that Humans are made superior than all other creatures. She added that recitation of Holy verses should be recited on daily basis as this routine can help in remaining safe from negative attitudes.

IIUI SPRING SEMESTER CLASSES TO COMMENCE ON FEB 9

Directorate of Academics International Islamic University has announced for all concerned that the spring semester 2015 is commencing from Monday, February 9, 2015. However, all the fresh new comer selected students of spring 2015 semester are advised to join on or before the date as mentioned in their offer letter after fulfilling all formalities. The continuing students may also report for course registration, payment of fee till 9th February, 2015. Whereas classes shall start on Monday, February 9, 2015, course registration including add / drop of course shall be closed on 17th February, 2015. The students are advised to adhere to the schedule carefully.

REGIONAL DAWAH CENTRE OF IIUI HOLDS SEERAH CONFERENCE

Regional Dawah Centre Sindh (Karachi), International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) organized a one-day Seerah conference which was attended by renowned Islamic scholars, Intellectuals and researches.

Conference was addressed by Maulana Dr. Asa’d Thanvi, Professor Anwaar Ahmed Zai, Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Shujaud Din Shaikh, Allama Shah Hussain Gardaizi, Allama Ilyas Sattar, Dr. Amir Abdullah Muhammadi and Dr. Mehmood Ghaznavi. Conference was also attended by a large number of people hailing from different walks of life.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Asa’d Thanvi said Quran is a great miracle of Prophet (PBUH) while life of Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the Holy Book guide Muslims in all aspects of life. “Message of life of Prophet (PBUH) is universal and we should take guidance from it in our practical lives” said Thanvi.

Professor Anwaar Ahmed Zai said that it is due to universalism of the message given by Prophet (PBUH) that His name is bright in every corner of the world. His message is universal and eternal, he added.

At the end, Incharge Regional Dawah Centre Sindh Dr. Syed Aziz ur Rehman thanked all the participants and vowed that such conferences would also be organized in future.

SHORT ARABIC COURSE COMMENCES AT IIUI

A three-month short Arabic course organized by the Arabic Language Centre (ALC) of Faculty of Arabic commenced here at male and female campuses of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).
Orientation sessions were held in both campuses which were presided over by the Dean Faculty of Arabic Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Bashir while course coordinator Dr. Zaheer Ahmed and senior teacher Dr. Abdul Moniem also joined the orientation sessions.
A handsome number of professionals have been registered for the course in both campuses where they will be introduced with grammar, reading and speaking skills of the Arabic language by experienced teachers from, Egypt (Al-Azhar University), Sudan and Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Bashir said that Arabic is language of Quran and people enrolled in the program are lucky as they are chosen by the God for understanding Quran and language of Prophet (PBUH).
He added that Quran started with the word “Iqra” which means human beings should study and contemplate. “Faculty of Arabic is working on a work plan to expand the network of Arabic language across the country so that a large number of people could learn to speak and interpret Arabic language “said Dean Faculty of Arabic.
He further said that Hifz e Quran and Quranic understanding should be mingled as this measure would help to understand the message of God and its Prophet (PBUH). He urged the students to be devoted for learning the Arabic language and vowed that students will be provided all possible facilities to make their learning process easy and creative.
Dr. Zaheer Ahmed apprised the participants of the course regarding the outline, objectives and procedures of teaching. He told that short Arabic courses of the centre have been designed in a way that a student can learn how to understand Quran directly through grammatical rules and reading comprehension.
Dr. Abdul Moniem, who is a veteran Arabic teacher at the centre and teaching Arabic for last two decades, urged the students to adopt the salient features of devotion, commitment and discipline adding that such qualities would not only help in achieving success in the course but they will also have positive results throughout their life by adopting such attributes.

ACTING HIGH COMMISSIONER OF BRUNEI CALLS ON DG IIUI

H.E. Hasmah Abas, Acting High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Pakistan, Tuesday called on Director General (AF&P) International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Gulzar Ahmed Khwaja.
Issues of mutual interest were discussed in the meeting.
During the meeting, both sides agreed that mutual cooperation in the field of education among IIUI and universities of Brunei would be launched.
Acting High Commissioner thanked DG IIUI for the warm hospitality and said that in wake of extending mutual cooperation; soon a delegation of the students from Islam Sultan Sharif Ali University Brunei, would visit IIUI. She also lauded the services of IIUI while saying that university is playing vital role in nurturing the young minds of Muslim Ummah.
Gulzar Ahmed Khwaja, said on the occasion that IIUI is always open for cooperation with all the universities of world and exchange of delegations between IIUI and Brunei would be encouraged. He also informed H.E Hasmah Abas regarding IIUI and informed about its faculties, academies and institutes. Both the officials also agreed that Shariah Academy would be utilized in extending mutual cooperation as it keeps offering advanced and rich courses for the legal fraternity.

DAWAH ACADEMY COURSE: AIMA, KHUTBA VISIT NEW CAMPUS OF IIUI

A delegation of 85th training program for Aima and Khtuba organized by Dawah Academy of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) visited new campus of varsity on Tuesday.
The 32-member delegation was received at new campus by the Additional Director Protocol and Public Relations IIUI D.K Hairan Khattak while the delegation was headed by course coordinator Waheed Ahmed.
On the occasion, delegation was given a detailed briefing about the university by Hairan Khattak in which he elaborated the objectives and goals of varsity. Hairan Kahttak apprised the participants about the distinctions of Islamic University in different fields and its contributions in the field of education and society. He added that IIUI is one of the leading universities of country that is producing highly qualified talented graduates duly integrated with the teachings of Islam.
He also made them aware about the admission process at IIUI. Harian Khattak also explained role and services of IIUI academies and constituents units in detail. Participants took keen interest in knowing details about university faculties and constituent units.
Later on, Participants also visited central library and male campus of the university.

Meeting of International Finance Committee of BoT held at Jeddah

A meeting of International Finance Committee of Board of Trustees (BoT) of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) was held at IDB Secretariat Jeddah. The meeting was chaired by the President IIUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh.
It was also attended by Dr. Ahmed Ali President IDB, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Tabtabai Head of Auqaf Kuwait, Mr. Mahboob Ellahi Industrialist, Dr. Othman al-Hijji and Gulzar Ahmed Khwaja Director General (AF&P) as Secretary.
A number of decisions have been taken regarding resource generation for the development needs of the university. The committee thanked H.E Mamnoon Hussain President of Pakistan and Chancellor IIU for his continued support to the university.

IIUI DELEGATION CONDOLES SAUDI AMBASSADOR OVER DEATH OF KING ABDULLAH

A delegation of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) headed by its Rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai Monday condoled to Ambassador Jassim M Al-Khalidi at Saudi embassy over death of King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz.

Including Rector IIUI the delegation was comprised of Acting President IIUI Dr. Mohammad Bashir Khan, Vice President Dr. Tahir Mansoori, DGs, Deans and Directors of varsity.

On the occasion, Rector IIUI said that King Abdullah always stood by Ummah on its betterment, prosperity and development. He said that his demise is an irreparable loss and hearts of Muslims are filled with grief on his death.

Dr. Masoom Yasainzai added that King Abdullah devoted his life to the service of Muslim Ummah and Islam and he will be long remembered for his efforts for peace. He said Pakistani nation stands with King’s family and Saudi nation in this hour of grief.

TRAINING COURSE FOR MUFTIS IN SHARIAH ACADEMY CONCLUDES

The concluding ceremony of the three month long training program for muftis organized here at Shariah Academy International Islamic University. Justice Dr. Fida Muhammad Khan, Chief Justice Federal Shariat Court, graced the ceremony as chief guest. On the occasion Dr. Suhail Hassan Director General Shari’ah Academy, Dr. Muhammad Tarhir Mansoori Vice President Higher Studies and Research and Dr. Habib ur Rehamn Chairman Training Department also attended the ceremony along with participants.

Justice Fida Muhammad Khan in his speech appreciated Shariah Academy’s role by providing such a platform to Muftis and Ulemmas as they are very vital part of the society which are responsible to lead the Muslim Ummah toward unity. He stressed on participants that Mufti has to be updated knowledge of current issues and possess the capability to face challenges; they should educate Muslim Ummah and interpret Islamic teachings in its true sense and spirit. Justice Fida further added that the Academy should extend this training program and generalize its benefits for outreach programs may be lounged on same pattern of Islamic Law Orientation Courses for Lawyers and law graduates.

Dr. Tarhir Mansoori introduced the prevailed practice of fatwa in Muslim world for four decades. He highlighted the importance of implementation of new trends in contemporary fatwa studies. Dr. Mansori advised the participants to keep themselves updated of those contemporary issues emerged due to prevailing tendency of cosmopolitan jurisprudence and rapid change of national and international needs of Muslim Ummah.

He also pointed out the importance of specialization in fatwa studies in any field of interest, so each scholar/Mufte has to select any field of his interest for his specialization to play effective role in providing proper solution in confronted issues.

Dr. Suhail Hassan highlighted the importance of unity of Muslim Ummah, for which unbiased propagation of pure Islamic teachings are most important. He also extended that the Shariah Academy is striving with its full strength to achieve associated goals.

Dr. Habib ur Rehamn highlighted the aims and objectives of the course and briefed the audience about the curricula of the said course. Two of the participants representing the class, presented their impressions & views about the course and proposed that such courses should be continued. They also proposed important suggestions for enhancement of the standard of the course in future. At end certificate granted to participants.

CTU HOLDS FIRE EXTINGUISH TRAINING

The Central Transport Unit of International Islamic University arranged a training workshop on acquiring skills of fire extinguish for drivers, mechanics and other staff members of the unit. In one day training, participants were made aware about the different forms of fire, its causes that how the things get fire by electricity shocks, gas leakages and many other ways. Participants learnt different methods and precautions to avoid sparks and other preventive measures of fire hazards, while using, safety and precautionary measures and fire extinguish appliances. They were also trained that how to approach for quick response to rescue from ablaze while using available resources.

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS HOLDS POSTER COMPETITION

The department of Physics (male) organized a poster competition among its male and female students in which a variety of important topics were given to students for on which posters were made by them.

The first, second, third and fourth prizes were given to group leaders Sadia Ahasn, M Akhlaq Siddiqui, Waqar Amin and Sarosh Shamsi respectively.

Prize distribution ceremony of the event was joined by the Acting President IIUI Dr. Mohammad Bashir Khan who distributed cash prizes and certificates among the students. The ceremony was hosted by Dr. Naeem Ahmad while it was also attended by Chairman Department of Physics Dr. Waqar Adil Syed.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bashir Khan appreciated the key person Dr. Naeem Ahmad and Dr. Waqar Adil Syed to organize such a healthy competition in the department.

He also advised students not to have inferiority complex while he urged them to keep struggling for building their career. He added that Pakistani youth can perform in best way, they only lack opportunities. “If we are sincere to our work, it will be Ibadat for us” said Dr. Bashir Khan.

Earlier, Dr Waqar Adil Syed told the audience about the progress in department of Physics and appreciated the students’ efforts for poster competition.

IIUI STUDENTS WIN POSITIONS IN INTER-VARSITY QIRAAT AND NAAT COMPETITION

International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) students won 2nd positions in Qiraat and Naat Inter-Varsity competition which was organized by University of PMAS-Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi.

As many as 40 students from different universities participated in the competition.

Mr. Abdur Rehman and Mr. Aziz Haider hailing from Faculty of Islamic Studies of IIUI respectively stood second in Qiraat and Naat competition. The team was selected by the Students’ Advisor office (Male).

Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily, Students Adviser and Dr. Abdul Qadir Haroon, Addl. Students Adviser felicitated the students and lauded their talented.

FUNERAL PRAYER IN ABSENTIA OF KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDUL AZIZ OFFERED AT FAISAL MOSQUE

The funeral prayer in absentia of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, organized by International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), was offered at Faisal Mosque on Saturday.
Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz passed away on Friday at age of 90; he had been suffering from a lung infection.
The funeral prayer in absentia was led by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf.
The funeral prayer in absentia was offered by Ambassador to Pakistan Jassim M Al Khalidi, Cultural Attaché of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Dr. Haza Al-Ghamdi, Head Maktab tu Dawah, Muhammad Saad bin Al- Doussri, other Saudi diplomats, diplomats of various Islamic countries, Advisor for Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, former Chairman Senate Mian Muhammad Soomro, Acting President IIUI Dr. Mohammad Bashir Khan, Vice President IIUI, Deans, Directors, University teachers and employees, members of civil society and people belonging to different walks of life.
On the occasion, eternal peace of the departed soul was prayed while renowned national and international figures condoled to the Saudi Ambassador.
Meanwhile, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf while talking to media at Faisal Mosque campus of IIUI said that death of King Abdullah is an irreparable loss to the Muslim Ummah. He added that Pakistani nation stands with King’s family and Saudi nation in this hour of grief. The minister vowed that strong Pak-Saudi relations would further expand in future.

IIUI LEADERSHIP EXPRESSES DEEP GRIEF OVER DEATH OF KING ABDULLAH

International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) leadership has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Saudi Arabia’s King Shah Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud and termed it as a great loss for Muslim Ummah.
Rector IIUI, Dr. Masoom Yasinzai in his condolence message said that death of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz has saddened the hearts of Muslims and Pakistan has lost a great friend. While expressing the grief over death, Dr. Massom said that the vacuum left by the demise of the king was difficult to be filled.
President IIUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh in a condolence message expressed deep sorrow and said that being custodian of the two holy mosques, King Abdullah had a deep respect in the hearts of Muslims and IIUI is standing with the people of Saudi Arabia in this moment of sorrow.
Meanwhile, Acting IIUI President Dr. Mohammad Bashir Khan telephoned to the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan and condoled over the death of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He lauded his services for Ummah while saying that IIUI conferred upon him an honorary Doctorate degree in recognition of his services for Ummah.
IIUI would hold funeral prayer in absentia for King Shah Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud on Saturday after Namaz e Zuhr at Faisal Mosque while transportation facility would also be provided to the employees and teachers of varsity to participate in funeral prayer in absentia. Buses would leave for Faisal Mosque at 12:00 pm from new campus boys’ hostel.

CONFERENCE AT IIUI: PRACTICAL STEPS URGED FOR INTER SECT HARMONY

A national conference titled “Inter Sect Harmony – Strategy for Mutual Understanding” concluded here at Faisal Mosque campus of International Islamic university Islamabad (IIUI) in which 28 Islamic scholars of all schools of thoughts delivered lectures and called for practical steps in establishing inter sect harmony in the society.
The moot was organized by Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue (IIIRD) of IIUI in which Islamic scholars agreed that Mosques and Madaris are the best sources to eliminate sectarianism while Ullema should take meaningful steps through using these platforms in positive manners.
The concluding ceremony of the conference was presided over by Chairman Standing Committee on Education, Senator Abdul Nabi Bangash while renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Sami u Haq, IIUI Rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Acting President IIUI Dr. Mohammad Bashir Khan, Director Programs (IIIRD) Dr. Talib Hussain Sial and other eminent scholars also joined the concluding session.
“Some elements that are not loyal to Islam have entered in our ranks and defaming the religion to gain their negative objectives while Ullema can play vital role to foil their inimical attempts” said Abdul Nabi Bangash while addressing on the occasion. He added that an Islamic scholar possesses a far better place in Islamic society in comparison of a minister or a senator as he performs a sacred duty. He maintained that dialogue is the solution of sectarianism.
Maulana Sami ul Haq criticized the conspiracies against Muslims and said enemies of Islam want fight and instability between Muslims and for this Muslims would have to show unity as a solution of this challenge. He called for practical steps in regard of inter sect harmony instead of verbal discussions. He was of the view that Islam has discouraged violence and extremism while bloodshed in the name of Islam is a wrong deed which is contrary to the Islamic teachings. Maulana Sami ul Haq also termed the blasphemous caricatures as a lethal attempt based on enmity against Muslims.
Dr. Masoom Yasinzai assured in his address that suggestions of the conference would be sent to the government officials while he also vowed that IIUI would keep arranging such constructive programs for the sake of having meaningful soulutions of contemporary problems.

Mehfil-e-Husn-e-Qirat would be held from Namaz e Asar to Namaz e Maghrib which would be attended by Qari Mehmood Al-syed Ibrahim Al-Tohi of Al-Azhar University, Egypt while it would be presided over by Director General Shariah Academy Dr. Sohail Hassan.

Prime Minister’s Focal Person on Polio Eradication, Ayesha Raza Farooq has said terrorism is the biggest constraint in polio eradication and government has decided to eliminate it through Zarb e Azb, hopefully peace would be resorted soon which will help in fight against polio.

This she said while chairing the fourth meeting of National Islamic Advisory Group (NIAG) on “Streamlining Islamic Scholars Support for Polio Eradication and Immunization at National, Provincial and District Levels” organized by Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue (IIIRD) at International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). The meeting was also attended by the Acting President IIUI Dr. Mohammad Bashir Khan, Secretary General Wafaaq ul Madaaris Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalindhari, Director Programs IIIRD Dr. Talib Hussain Sial, Mr. Zubair Usamani of Darul uloom Karachi, Rabia Amjad (Representative UNICEF), Dr. Muhammad Azam Khan (representative WHO), Deputy Director General Dawah Academy IIUI Dr. Imtiaz Zafar and others.

IIUI is the secretariat of national Islamic advisory group and the university had also arranged prior meetings, conference seminars on polio eradication and awareness.

The participants agreed that media should be involved with more focus on eradication of polio while the scholars who have reservations regarding polio vaccine and vaccination procedure should be approached and convinced. They also agreed upon on the point that Ullema of the remote areas and union councils of polio sensitive districts should be approached to have positive results in eradication of polio.

Ayesha Raza told in the meeting that Prime Minister has directed for practical steps for eradication of polio in a special meeting and he has also formed a special committee of cabinet in this regard, in which Interior Minister and Defense Minister are also members. PM’s Focal Person on Polio apprised that efforts for polio eradication have been expedited and after two and a half years vaccination work in Waziristan has also started. “Ullema posses vital role in eradication of polio, government has also provided training to almost 550 Islamic scholars regarding polio eradication and awareness” said Ayesha Raza.

She stressed on the role of media while saying that journalists and mediums of media can provide significant help to achieve the goal and programs on polio should be disseminated with the great frequency to aware the masses. She also lauded the role of IIUI and its IIIRD and hoped that cooperation would be continued until the country becomes a polio free land.

Dr. Mohammad Bashir khan, while giving introduction and background of the university, told the participants that IIUI has organized 25 seminars, programs and workshops on polio awareness and eradication across the country including Quetta and other far flung areas of Pakistan. He vowed that university and its units would keep working for the elimination of polio.

Dr. Talib Sial said that IIIRD has arranged numerous programs for awareness regarding polio while 120 Ullema who participated in workshops of Dawah Academy and Shariah Academy of IIUI have been given training regarding Polio awareness. He also told that university’s Dawah Academy has also launched a special number on health measures in which Fatwas regarding polio vaccine and special articles on polio eradication and information have been published.

Participants were told by the WHO representative that so far 400 cases have been identified in the world, of which 306 cases were identified in Pakistan while the biggest problem to deal with the menace of polio is security challenge. Qari Hafeez Jalindhari stressed that Fatwas given by the authentic scholars regarding polio eradication should be disseminated appropriately as this could help in convincing the public.

At the end of the meeting, special number of Dawah Academy on health measures was presented by Dr. Bashir Khan to Ayesha Raza Farooq.

DR. AL-DRAIWEESH CALLS ON SAUDI MINISTER OF RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS DR. SULEMAN

President International Islamic University Islamabad Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh and the delegation accompanied with him, called on Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Suleiman bin Abdullah Aba Al-Khail in his office at Riyadh where both the heads discussed matters of mutual interests.

At the beginning of the meeting the delegation was welcomed by the Minister and other officials. The meeting was a part of the University’s drive to establish a leading position in the top ranked universities of the world. The Saudi Minister has showed keen devotion towards the services of IIUI for the young mind of Muslim Ummah and contributing to strengthen the cause of Islamic teachings and spreading the universal message of peace, patience, tolerance and modesty positively to the world; he also appreciated the constructive role and dynamic leadership of the Dr. Al-Draiweesh in this regard.

Dr. Suleman assured maximum cooperation with IIUI to achieve the goals of the university and the services can be performed efficiently.

Dr. Al-Draiweesh, said the top priority of the university is to inculcate the teachings of peace, tolerance and moderation and positive trends in the youth of Muslim Ummah while refraining them from the attitude and thinking of extremism and terrorism. He also informed about the efforts which have been made so far. In this regard IIUI has arranged number of international conferences, symposiums, seminars and workshops. Ha maintained. Dr. Suleman also assured his support to complete the current projects and future goals of the university. At the end of the meeting memento and gifts were also exchanged.

 

ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF FEMALE CAMPUS HOLDS MEETING

The meeting of the Advisory Committee of Female Campus was held in the office of the Director, Female Campus, which was chaired by the Vice President Higher Studies and Research (HS&R) Dr. Muhammad Tahir Mansoori. It was attended by the Director General AF&P Gulzar Ahmed Khawja, Chief Security Officer Comdr Aftab Iqbal and other relevant officers. Director Female Campus Dr. Samina Malik welcomed all members and paid profound thank to President IIUI for adding the members in Advisory Committee for smooth functioning of the Female Campus.

The committee after having detailed deliberations it was recommended that, approved plan of building 09 offices and 09 classrooms behind B-Block of Fatima-tuz-Zahra Block may be started on priority bases and existing available infrastructure may be utilized up-to maximum level. The committee also considered nominations of Students’ Advisor (Female) and provision of facilities of furniture and fixture to female visiting faculty members. Gulzar Ahmed Khawja assured the committee that a handsome amount has been released to meet the urgent needs and all miner problems would be solved on priority bases.

The committee in the meeting suggested construction of shades and canopies in yard of campus. It was also recommended that the construction of approved module shops may be started at the earliest and utilizing the space for landscaping and beautification of sitting areas behind the faculty blocks.

Dr. Mansoori also pointed out that exclusive meeting regarding academic matters also need to be arranged to improve the academic quality of the campus.

CONFERENCE ON INTER SECT HARMONY STARTS AT IIUI

Participants of a two-day national conference on “Inter Sect Harmony – Strategy for Mutual Understanding” called for practical steps regarding discouraging the sectarianism while they also agreed that advancement in technology such as social media should be used for dissemination of mutual respect and Inter Sect Harmony.

The two day moot commenced on Tuesday which is being organized by Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue (IIIRD) at Faisal Mosque campus of university where Islamic scholars of all schools of thoughts and researchers are participating.

The inaugural ceremony of the conference was presided over by Rector IIUI Dr. Masoom Yasinzai while it was also attended by Maulana Mufti Muhammad Zahid of Jamia Islamia Imdadia Faisalabad, Allama Muhammad Ramzan Tauqeer of Jamia tul Najaf D. I. Khan, Director General Shariah Academy Dr. Sohail Hassan, Director Programs IIIRD Dr. Talib Hussain Sial and other renowned scholars.

Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, while addressing on the occasion said that IIUI is a beautiful example of mutual respect where students and teachers of different sects hold healthy discussions without prejudice. “Ullema and Madaris posses vital place in the Islamic society as both can help in dissemination of peace, tolerance, mutual respect and tranquility. Talking about the blasphemous caricatures, Dr. Masoom Yasinzai said that act must be condemned and it’s an inappropriate one. He added that its affiliation to the right of expression is unfortunate and such events should not occur.

Speaking in the session of first day of the conference, scholars suggested that Muslim Ummah must forge unity among its ranks. Vice Chancellor Riphah International Dr. Anis Ahmed said that comparative study, based on research should be included in the curriculum which must be taught without any prejudice. He also suggested exchange of visits between the Madaris of different sects.

Allama Ramzan said that giving hype to the minor differences is an inappropriate approach as it increases the sensitivity of the issues. Maulana Mufti Muhammad Zahid urged for coherence in practical steps and thoughts regarding peace and tranquility. “Personal opinion based on sectarian enmity should not be part of the teaching” said former Chairman Islamic ideology council Dr. M. Khalid Masood.

Maulana Zahid Al-Rashidi who presided the last session of first day, said that Ullema always showed unity when it was the matter of Ummah and nation’s cause. He added that it is necessary to hold, meetings of scholars of all sects on routine basis as it can solve various complex issues.
The conference was also addressed by Muhammad Mohsin Naqvi, Dr. Abdul Ali Achakxai, Dr. Syed Aziz ur Rehman,and Maulana Ainal Yaqeen.

Earlier, Dr. Sohail Hassan thanked the participants for attending the conference while Dr. Talib Sial presented detailed introduction and objectives of the conference.

IIUI, SCIFLAIR LTD JOIN HANDS FOR RESEARCH IN ENERGY SECTOR

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Department of Electronic Engineering of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and SciFlair Ltd. Bristol UK under which IIUI students and faculty members of IIUI will obtain opportunities to work on different projects in Power and Energy sector in a research and development Lab.

The Department of Electronic Engineering of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, IIUI has proved itself as one of the best departments in the field of engineering. Its day by day progress and activities have caught attraction of SciFlair Ltd which got interested to create strong linkages and collaboration with IIUI.

The MoU was signed by President IIUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh on Wednesday morning while Prof. Dr. Tahir Mansoori, Vice President (Higher Studies & Research), Prof. DR. Mohammad Bashir Khan, Vice President(Academics), Prof. Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Prof. Dr. Muhammmad Amir (Chairman, Department of Electronic Engineering) and Prof. Dr. SaeedBadshah (Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering) were also present on the occasion.

According to MoU, the SciFlair Ltd will hire graduated students of IIUI and it will establish a research and development Lab in Department of Electronic Engineering of IIUI where concerned faculty members of IIUI and Employees of SciFlair Ltd will do research on different projects in Power and Energy sector. In this lab work will be carried out from research to the final shape of the product.

Speaking on the occasion, President IIUI said, this initiative will definitely play an important role to remove energy crises from Pakistan. He said lab will play important role to make linkages between industry and academia.

Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology acknowledged the efforts of Dr. Adnan Umar as a principle investigator and focal person in initiating project and collaboration with SciFlair Ltd and Engr. Tila Muhammad as Co-principle Investigator and actively collaborating with SciFlair Ltd. He also said that the involvement of such multinational companies in Faculty of Engineering & Technology is a significant achievement. Dr. Aqdas also thanked President IIUI for his support in regard of collaboration.

According to FET officials, initially two graduated student have been selected by Director of SciFlair Ltd. to carry on the projects as engineers of SciFlair Ltd and two faculty members have been assigned from IIUI as Principle Investigator and Co Principle Investigator. Both sides have also agreed that SciFlair will provide different industrial projects for the students and faculty members of International Islamic University Islamabad.

PRESIDENT IIUI CHAIRS MEETINGS

President International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh chaired a meeting on Monday in which transport schedule, matters of facilitating students during examinations and various other points were discussed.

Dr. Al-Draiweesh, while lauding the efforts of IIUI Administration showed satisfaction on security measures, process of examination and discipline in IIUI hostels.

He advised the relevant officials to make sure that students be provided best transport facility and warm rooms during exams. He directed all the concerned officials to work hard for making the education process smooth at IIUI.

DG IRI ADDRESSES RESEARCHERS, STAFF MEMBERS

Director General Islamic Research Institute (IRI), International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq has said Monday that problems of the researchers and staff members of IRI would solved on priority basis.

This he said on the occasion of his first address at IRI since he assumed his duties as head of the institution. He vowed on the occasion that IRI would become an exemplary institution of Pakistan and Muslim world. He added that IRI is the institution where IIUI inception took place and its progress is the top priority of IIUI. Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq also announced to take special measures for the progress and development of Press and Publication department of IRI. He said that publications of IRI would be sent as gift to various educational institutions across the country. He told that President IIUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh has assured of provision of resources for IRI requirements. The ceremony was also addressed by Dr. Asmat Ullah Head Fiqh Unit, Col. Rtd. Amjad Zaman Additional Director administration, Dr. Syed Muzzamil Hussain Deputy Director Publications and others.

TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR ULEMA CONCLUDES AT IIUI

A two-day training workshop organized for the Islamic scholars by Shariah Academy of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and International Forum for promotion of harmony, concluded here at Faisal Mosque campus of the university.

Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President IIUI was the chief guest of the concluded ceremony while it was also attended by Vice President IIUI Dr. Tahir Mansoori, Director General Shariah Academy Dr. Sohail Hassan and other officials of the academy.

Addressing on the occasion, President IIUI said workshop is vital effort of both Shariah Academy and International Forum for promotion of harmony as it discussed contemporary situation in the light of Islamic teachings. He said there is no place of rigidity and extremism in Islam while it is religion of peace and harmony.

He emphasized that prevailing challenges should be solved with research and steps such as organizing the workshops on vital topics can be useful for having solutions of problems. Dr. Al-Draiweesh stressed on the Ulema to guide the society in the light of Islamic teachings and disseminate Islam’s message of peace.

On the last day of the workshop, topics such as “Ulema’s role in dissemination of moderation” and “Islam and relations with non-Muslims” were discussed. Dr. Sohail Hassan and Dr. Thair Hakeem delivered lectures on these topics.

On the same day, a book launching ceremony was also held which is titled as “Takfeer kay Sharaee Qwaed o Zwabit”. Dr. Asmat ullah presented the introduction of the book while Dr. Tahir Mansoori gave its detailed analysis.

Earlier, Dr. Tahir Mansoori apprised about the objectives and details of the workshop and thanked both the institutions for cooperation in making it successful. Dr. Sohail Hassan thanked President IIUI and Forum for promotion of harmony and vowed that Shariah Academy would keep arranging such constructive programs in the future.

At the end, President IIUI rewarded the participants with publications of the Academy and certificates of participation.

DR. AYAZ AFSAR WITH HIS BRITISH PARTNER WINS BRITISH COUNCIL RESEARCHER LINKS WORKSHOP GRANT

Dr Ayaz Afsar, Associate Professor Department of English, International Islamic University Islamabad joint efforts with Dr. Paul Thompson from University of Birmingham England clinched British Council Researcher Links Workshop Grant to conduct 3-Day International Workshop on” Corpus Linguistics “sponsored by British Council and Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. In reward of grant IIUI will be hosting this International event on the theme “Developing Corpus Linguistics in South Asia” on 2nd March, 2015 which will be fully funded for 30 researchers 15 from United Kingdom and 15 from Pakistan. The worth mentioning is here that , to achieve this research grant, number of universities from more than 18 countries applied, hence, with the outstanding performance of Dr. Ayaz and his partner secured this funding. All the proposals were assessed in the UK after a rigorous scrutiny against the quality criteria by two International reviewers.

The purpose of the workshop is to bring the pioneers present and future of corpus linguistics in South Asia together with specialists from the UK and Pakistan in order to assess the current state of corpus linguistics in South Asia, to identify the needs of corpus researchers and also to articulate a clear strategy for the development of resources and programmes for the future. The need for the program is rooted in the increasing demand for professionals and researchers in the field of corpus linguistics, which is at present a neglected area in Pakistan and other countries in South Asia.

Corpus methodologies are growing increasingly important not only for the investigation of linguistic matters but also for an understanding of many social, economic and political issues in which language plays a central role.

Furthermore, there, still exist no national corpus of Pakistani English nor one that represents the wide diversity of South Asian English, and neither are there substantial corpora of regional languages such as Urdu. The current demand results from the increasing need for the use of corpus linguistics tools in an age of information technology with a substantial amount of digital data. The workshop will address these issues in the use of corpus linguistic tools and methods, and their application in diverse areas of social sciences, humanities and arts, such as critical discourse analysis, diachronic linguistics and applied linguistics.

DR. SAMINA MALIK APPOINTED AS ACTING DIRECTOR FEMALE CAMPUS

Head of Education Department (female), International Islamic University, Islamabad, Dr. Samina Yasmin Malik has been appointed as Acting Director Female campus.

Earlier, Dr. Zaitoon Begum was assuming the charge of Director Female campus. After her retirement Dr. Samina Malik has assumed her duties as Acting Director Female campus while she is the 11th Director of the campus since the inception of university.

In this connection, a welcome ceremony was held on Thursday at female campus which was attended by President IIUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh as chief guest. The ceremony was also attended by Director Administration Khalid Mehmood Raja, Head of various departments at campus and female faculty members.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Al-Draiweesh felicitated Dr. Samina Malik and hoped that her appointment would be proved as positive step in the progress of female campus and the university while he also lauded the services of former Director Dr. Zaitoon Begum. Dr. Al-Draiweesh announced an amount of 5 lac rupees for the completion of urgent tasks of the campus while he also vowed that female campus would be provided every possible facility.

President IIUI directed all the HoDs and faculty members to involve the students into research activities while he also emphasized that co-curricular activities must be held to polish the skills and nurture the minds of students. He maintained that IIUI is an educational institution which possesses a unique place among all the universities because it vision and objective of being international and Islamic makes it prominent. He added that such attributes of varsity increase responsibilities of its leadership and employees, “and for that we would have to work with more commitment and more dedication”, he said. Dr. Al-Draiweesh hoped that all the HoDs and faculty members would cooperate with Dr, Samina Malik in arranging constructive programs.

TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR ULEMA COMMENCES AT IIUI

Chief Justice Federal Shariat Court Justice Fida Muhammad Khan said Wednesday that distances have shrunk in the contemporary world but distances between the people have increased, few elements are propagating against Islam by utilizing the resources while Media, educational institutions and Mosques can play vital role in foiling the attempts against Muslims.

He expressed these views while addressing in an inaugural ceremony of a two-day training workshop organized for the Islamic scholars by Shariah Academy of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and International Forum for promotion of harmony, Jordan.

The event commenced here at Faisal Mosque campus of IIUI and its ceremony was also attended by Vice President IIUI Dr. Tahir Mansoori, Director General Shariah Academy Dr. Sohail Hassan and other officials of the academy.

“We would have to deal the contemporary challenges with consensus and mutual discussion while we should seek solutions of our problems in the light of Islamic teachings” said Justice Fida. He added that Muslims should also remain updated to the new advancements while religious teachings should also be given due place in the lives.

Dr. Tahir Mansoori, while informing about the introduction and objectives of the workshop said prominent issues such as rights of women and minorities and contemporary challenges would be discussed in the workshop and participants would explore Islam’s stance regarding such issues. He maintained that Islam is a religion of peace, patience and justice and rigidity is not allowed in the religion while he also stressed upon dissemination of mutual respect.

Earlier, Dr. Sohail Hassan said Shariah Academy has been organizing the training courses for decades. He also mentioned the recently held course by the academy which was organized at Muzaffarabad where legal fraternity was provided opportunity to broaden the exposure. While appraising the academy’s postal courses he said now academy is mulling over launching online courses.

On the first day of the workshop, topics such as affect of extremism on society and its solutions, and human rights in the light of Islam were discussed where Dr. Habib ur Rehaman and Dr. Abdul Haye Abroo delivered the lectures.

The event would conclude on Thursday and it would be attended by President IIUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh.

SHARIAH ACADEMY ORGANIZES 49TH COURSE FOR LEGAL FRATERNITY

Shariah Academy of International Islamic University Islamabad keeping the constructive tradition of arranging Islamic orientation courses alive, organized 49th Islamic Law orientation Course for Lawyers and Law graduates where participants were introduced with Islamic legal Philosophy and other vital legal aspects.

Academy has a privilege to organize such forty Ninth orientation courses for lawyers across the country in which 2160 lawyers participated. Shariah Academy’s course was organized at Muzaffarabad in collaboration with the Department of Law, Aazad Jammu and Kashmir University Muzaffarabad.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Sohail Hassan, Acting Director General, Shari‘ah Academy. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor of the Aazad Jammu & Kashmir University, Muzaffarabad, Prof. Dr. Dilnawaz Gardaisi, thanked Shari‘ah Academy for playing a great role for organizing such courses.

Faculty of Shariah Academy, and other Islamic Law experts addressed the participants of this course on important topics of Islamic Law. Dr. Shahzad Iqbal Sham discussed about Islamic Provisions in the Pakistani Constitutions, Dr. Abdul Haye Abro highlighted the Islamic Law of Inheritance and Dr. Gulam Murtza Aazad addressed on Family Law ordinance 1961, Islamization of Laws in Pakistan and Criminal Law of Islam.

On concluding ceremony Prof. Dr. Dilnawaz Gardaisi Vice Chancellor of the Aazad Jammu & Kashmir University, presided over the program on 27th December, 2014 and Honorable Senior Judge, Supreme Court of AJK, Mr. Justice Ch. Ibraheem Zia, was invited as Chief Guest of the said program.

The Chief Guest highlighted that the objective of the course is to fill the gap and deficiency in LL.B curricula and Islamic Judicial system. He also emphasized that participation in this course is not end to the study of Islamic law, rather it was a start and there is need for the study of Islamic law in depth with more concentration. Dr. Sohail Hassan thanked the Vice Chancellor of the Aazad Jammu & Kashmir University and other management of the University, for their cooperation and assistance during the course. The participants recognized the importance of this course and earnestly requested the Academy to launch such training courses regularly in the future.

IIUI’S DR. IBRAR SHINWARI APPOINTED AS ASSISTANT EDITOR FOR ALLELOPATHY JOURNAL

The Executive Council, International Allelopathy Foundation in its meeting has appointed Dr. Muhammad Ibrar Shinwari, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Sciences, International Islamic University, Islamabad, as Assistant Editor for Allelopathy Journal.
The Allelopathy Journal is an International Peer Reviewed Journal recognized by HEC.

TURKISH DELEGATE VISIT FAISAL MOSQUE, DAWAH ACADEMY

A high profile Turkish delegation led by the Dr. Husseyin Kayapinar President High Board of Religious Affairs Turkey visited Faisal Mosque and Dawah Academy International Islamic University Islamabad yesterday. He was accompanied by the Mr. Mehmet Savas POLAT Advisor, the First Secretary of Turkish Embassy in Pakistan Alperen Uyar and also with high officials from Ministry of Religious Affairs Pakistan. The delegation was welcomed by Director General AF&P IIUI Gulzar Ahmed Khawja, Director General IRI Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq, Deputy Director General Dawah Academy Dr. Imtiaz Zafar.

Later on, the delegation was briefed about the university by Gulzar Khawja in detail, and Dr. Imtiaz threw light on the scope and academic activities and outreach training programs of Dawah Academy. At the end, the worthy guests were presented university souvenirs.

KSA PROVIDES 1 MILLION DOLLAR GRANT FOR FAISAL MOSQUE

The government of Saudi Arabia has provided a grant of 1 million dollar for the maintenance and renovation of Faisal Mosque and allied units. Inaugural ceremony of maintenance and renovation work grant and signatures held at Faisal Mosque Campus of the International Islamic University Islamabad.

The maintenance and renovation work being initiated with special support of the custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and under the auspices of Royal Embassy of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pakistan.

The ceremony was attended by Saudi Ambassador Jassim-Al-Khalidi, Director General (Services) CDA Najeeb ur Rehman, Director General Higher Education Commission Owais Ahmed, former President IIUI Anwar Ahmed Siddiqui, Rector IIUI Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, President IIUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh and other high official.

Speaking on the occasion, Jassim Al-Khalidi said Faisal Mosque is a symbol of strong and long-lasting brotherly relations among Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. While lauding the role of IIUI he said that it was serving the Muslim Ummah in true words. He reiterated his resolve that KSA government would keep cooperation in the projects which relate to the welfare and prosperity of Muslim Ummah.

Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, in his speech in the ceremony said Faisal Mosque is a unique and exemplary gift from KSA to the people of Pakistan. He added that Faisal Mosque has become recognition of Pakistan which attracts the local and foreign visitors. IIUI rector thanked King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud on the behalf of university while saying Pakistanis are thankful for having such a precious gift in form of Faisal Mosque.

IIUI President Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh said on the occasion that Mosques have vital role in the Islamic society while saying that Prophet (PBUH) termed Mosques as best places. He added that Faisal Mosque is a symbol of strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and KSA while he also said that with passage of time these ties would become further strengthened and exemplary. Dr. Al-Draiweesh also apprised regarding the services being provided by IIUI through its DAWAH academy at Faisal Mosque.

At the end of the ceremony, IIUI shields were presented to the distinguished guest.

 

IIUI shall open for students on Monday 12th January 2015
IIUI shall open for students on Monday 12th January 2015. Examination for Faculties of Arabic, Usuludin and Shariah & Law shall start on 12th January 2015. Exams schedule shall be uploaded on IIUI website. For other faculties first week starting from 12th January 2015 shall have classes and examination shall start on Monday 19th January 2015. Schedule for entry tests for Spring 2015 admissions shall also be announced subsequently.

University is already open for employees. This is notified for the information of all concerned.

DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TIES RESEARCH COLLABORATION WITH UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY MALAYSIA

Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, International Islamic University, has extended research collaboration with Faculty of Engineering, University of Technology Malaysia. In connection of collaboration, Prof Dr. Mohd Nasir Tamin and Dr. Muhammad Adil Khatack, University of Technology Malaysia visited the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, International Islamic University, Islamabad. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen mutual relationship between the two universities and to enhance research work and exchange the experiences. A lecture was also delivered by Dr. Mohd Nasir to highlight experimental facilities and area of research groups in UTM.

Both the sides agreed to have a Memorandum of Understanding in near future to extend further academics activities which would facilitate both the universities to exchange teachers and students. It was also agreed that the UTM would accommodate IIUI research scholars there.

They were also invited as co organizer of upcoming international conference by IIUI. Dean FET Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik, Chairman DME, Dr. Saeed Badshah and other academic staff of faculty members of Engineering and Technology attended the lecture and discuss the matters of mutual interests. Dr. Mohd Nasir and Dr. Muhammad Adil Khatack had also meeting with PhD scholars of Mechanical Engineering in separate session and discuss their research topics. Later on, VP (Acad), Dr. Muhammad Bashir Khan along with Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik, Dr. Saeed Badshah, Chairman DCE, Dr. Rizwan Nazir and Dr. Muhammad Afzal Khan met the honorable guests for sparing such a precious time and also thanks them for their visit to Pakistan.

IIUI TO HOLD INAUGURAL CEREMONY OF RENOVATION WORK OF FAISAL MOSQUE

The inaugural ceremony of maintenance and renovation of Faisal Mosque and allied units will be held (today) at Allama Iqbal Auditorium at 3:00 pm in Faisal Mosque Campus of International Islamic University Islamabad.

The maintenance and renovation work being initiated with special support of the custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and under the auspices of Royal Embassy of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pakistan. On the invitation by President International Islamic University Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh the ceremony will be attended by the high officials of Saudi embassy in Pakistan, senior officials from ministry of religious affairs, higher education commission.

SPECTRA-14 ACTIVITIES AT IIUI

International Islamic University organized SPECTRA-14 event which was a laudable effort of the Students Adviser Office (male). In the event, students were provided opportunities to show their skills, talent and intelligence in number of events. The event was organized in the Month of December.

During the event, Marathon race, Sketching competition, Art exhibition and mini cricket tournament were also organized including various events of which reports have already been uploaded.

According to details, Marathon race was supervised by the Assistant sports Officer Mr. Khalid Chaudhary. Many students actively participated in it. Race started from the hostel parking and it concluded at activity center (male) (about 4 km distance).

Top positions holders were awarded cash prizes by the chief guest of the event Chairman Department of Media Dr. Zafar Iqbal along with Students Adviser Dr. Tahir Khalily, Additional Students Advisor Dr. Abdul Qadir Haroon, Assistant Professor Dr. Hafiz Anwar, Syed. Inam ur Rehman, Assistant Prof. DMCS and Mr. Rooh Ul Amin, Lecturer DMCS.

Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal appreciated and encouraged the students to participate in such healthy activities. He also appreciated the event Spectra 14 while saying such activities are necessary for promoting healthy attitudes among the students. He encouraged the organizers of the event also.

Students Advisor Dr. Tahir Khalily also regarded the efforts of organizing team and wish them best of luck for their upcoming events.

Meanwhile, SPECTRA’14 Events Sketching Competition and Arts exhibition was supervised by Mr. RoohUl Amin. Arts Work was exhibited at Central Library where number of students participated to show their outstanding talent. Art exhibition was inaugurated by Students Adviser Dr. Tahir khalily and Additional Students Advisor Dr. Abdul Qadir Haroon. They wished the participants best of luck for their future and appreciated their creativity.

Winners of all the sub-events of SPECTRA-14 will be awarded shields and certificates at closing ceremony of Spectra14.

It is pertinent to mention that students adviser office organizes multiple events throughout the academics year for the students of IIUI to nourish their talent through different platforms.

 
 

IIUI EXTENDS LAST DATE OF ADMISSION TILL 31 DECEMBER
