PhD Arabic Students called on Dr. Al-Draiweesh
Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) has said that Arabic language is the base of knowledge and IIUI was start with the faculties of Usul Uddin and Shariah to promote Islamic Educations as well as Arabic. He was addressing to the 15 members delegation of students of Ph. D (Arabic) led by Habib ullah Khan, Student of Ph. D (Arabic).

He said that we should focus on basic faculties of the university and to promote Arabic as well as Usul Uddin worldwide. He said that students are real inheritors of the university and they should focus on their study. He added that university will award cash prizes to best students on the basis of their performance. He said that peoples of Saudi Arabia loves Pakistani peoples and it is the reason that most of the engineers, doctors and Imams working in Saudi Arabia are Pakistanis. The President said that problems of the students will be solved on priority basis and series of regular meeting with students will be launched soon.

IIUI Holds 1st Meeting of Institutional Scholarships Award Committee
First Meeting of Institutional Scholarships Award Committee of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) was held at the new campus of the university. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh presided over the meeting while Shoaib Murad, Director Scholarship, Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad, Hajira Sohail, Project Director Need Based Scholarship and Tariq Ghumman, Divisional Head, Allied Bank North was also present on the occasion.

Khurshid Alam, Director Finance IIUI while briefing the meeting said that after much investigation 238 needy students were selected under this scheme and grand of Rs. 6000/- as tuition fee will also be granted to each student till the completion of their degrees.

Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh appreciated this scheme of HEC and said that HEC always remain cooperated with IIUI. He also expressed the desire to increase the amount of this scheme. HEC officials lauded the efforts of Dept. of Finance of IIUI and assured all possible cooperation.

IIUI Delegation Visits Al Imam Muhammad Ibn-Saud Islamic University
A six members delegation headed by Dr Muhammad Tahir Khalily from psychology department of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) visited department of psychology Al Imam Muhammad Ibn-Saud Islamic University Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Other members of the delegation were Dr. Seema Gul, Incharge Psychology Dept. Female, IIUI, Mr. Mazhar Iqbal Bhutti , Assistant Professor, Rabia Mushtaq, Lecturer, Mahmoona Ismail, Lecturer and Mr. Shamsher Hayat Khan, Clinic Coordinator. The delegation was invited by the department of psychology of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn-Saud Islamic University to the Second International Symposium. The symposium was attended by renowned psychologists from Middle East and the western word.

The delegation had important academic meetings with the department of psychology of the Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn-Saud Islamic University and both the parties explored areas of collaboration and were agreed to work on Joint International conferences on Psychology and mental health, Participation as an external examiners, Joint research activities and publications, Teaching Clinical Psychology , Islamization of Psychology and establishment of clinics.

The delegation also had a meeting with Prof. Muhammad A. Al-Tuwaijri, Dean faculty of Social Sciences, Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn-Saud Islamic University and apprised him about the collaborative activities between the two departments. The Dean has appreciated the efforts and has nominated a team of three senior faculty members of the department of psychology to visit IIUI and to devise a short course on the Islamization of Psychology.

The delegation congratulated Prof. Dr Ahmed Yousif A. Al-Draiweesh on the award of “best services and contribution to the University” confirmed by Prof. Dr. Suliman A. Aba Al-Khail Pro Chancellor IIUI. Later the delegation met with the pro Chancellor and thanked him for providing this opportunity.

   

Teachers should present themselves as a role model to the students; Dr. Al-Draiweesh
Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) has said that teachers should present themselves as a role model to the students and they should taught them in such a way so that in future they could serve the nation effectively and to perform their duties with dedication and sincerity. He was addressing to the faculty members of the university on the commencement of spring semester 2013. Prof. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, Vice President IIUI was also present on the occasion.

He said that due to rapid development of Information technology the world has became a global village and to survive with dignity and honour in this global village we should remain updated in each and every area of knowledge. Dr. Al-Draiweesh said that promotion of Islamic education is the distinction of IIUI and teachers should work hard to maintain this distinction of the university. He said that Islam teaches moderation and teachers should transfer this teaching of Islam to the students and urged them to stay away from extremism because there is no place in Islam for terrorism and extremism.

About the incentives of the faculty members he said that university will award prizes to the teachers with best performance in teaching and research and other facilities will also be provided to them so that the faculty members may perform their duties comfortably. He said that residential apartments for the faculty members will also be built within the university campus. Dr. Al-Draiweesh also announced that three hundred foreign students will be admitted and university will bear all expenditures of those students.

   

Reading and Discussion Session with Ms. Qaisera Shahraz
The Iqbal International Institute for Research & Dialogue (IRD) of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) in collaboration with Department of English, IIU organized Reading and Discussion Session with Ms. Qaisera Shahraz a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, an award-winning novelist, playwright, education consultant and a college inspector, at Central Library of the university. Dr. Muhammad Safeer Awan was the moderator of the session while Dr. Munawar Iqbal Gondal, Acting Dean Faculty of Language & Literature welcomed and introduced the writer.

Ms. Qaisera Shahraz said that her first work which gave her fame was a short story “A pair of Jeans” which was added by a German Female Professor in the syllabus in 1988 and it deals with the issue of cross cultural identity. She mentioned her two novels “The Holy Women” and “Typhoon” and also mentioned how the idea of writing them came in her mind and what was the reason behind writing them.

She also said that she had no pressures and she wrote objectively and gave the message to the reader that modern Muslim woman in not facing any internal and domestic pressure. She also read some parts of her both novels and also discussed the characters, their mentality, actions, background and the message which she wanted to deliver through the characters. Dr. Qaisera Shahzad also shared her feelings of how a writer starts loving his characters and how she adopted one of her character in first novel for the second novel also. She said that writing needs creativity, sensibility, sensitivity as well as good imagination.

Earlier Dr. Talib Hussain Sial, Director IRD gave a brief introduction of Iqbal International Institute for Research & Dialogue (IRD) and its mission, motives and contribution in the university and through its outreach programs and welcomed the guest.

The students and faculty members participated through their questions and answers and appreciated her work and expressed their feelings and sentiments of honor for her because of being a Pakistani writer. At the end she signed her novels for the students and faculty members.

President of University of Jordan Visits IIUI
Prof. Ekleif Tarawneh, President of University of Jordan visited International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) yesterday and called on Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President IIUI. Prof. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, Vice President (AF&P), Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmad, Vice President (Academics), IIUI were also present on the occasion. A reception was also organized in honour of Prof. Ekleif Tarawneh. President, IIUI, Vice Presidents including Directors Generals, Deans of various institutes and faculty were also president on the occasion.

While addressing to a reception in his honour, Dr. Ekleif Tarawneh said that the purpose of establishment of both the universities is to serve the Muslim Ummah and to achieve this goal we should exchange faculty members, students and should cooperate with each other in the fields of research and technology. He said that 38 thousands students are studying in the University of Jordan in 203 different educational programmes. Prof. Ekleif said that the purpose of this visits is to highlight the need for cooperation between both the universities and to initiate MoUs with the Pakistani universities.

Earlier Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh welcomed the delegation and said that I am very happy to participate in the discussions to promote the knowledge and research because these are not only for the betterment of faculty members and students but also important for the development of societies. While stressing upon the need of bilateral cooperation agreements he said that through these agreements not only education and research will be promoted in both the countries but entire Muslim Ummah will benefited.

Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmad while briefing the delegation about IIUI said that International Islamic University is playing important role to lead the Muslim Ummah in the field of education that is the reason that male and female students of more than 40 countries are enrolled in IIUI and teacher from Sudan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Iraq, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are part of the faculty wing of IIUI. Dr. Mumtaz said that we can and we should mutually work for the betterment of Ummah through exchange of teachers, students, research and technology.

Later on delegation visited the central library, Faculty of Shariah & Law and Female Campus of the university. Dr. Zaitoon Begum, Director Female Campus briefed them about the female campus. Delegation also visited the Faisal Mosque and Faisal Masjid Campus of the University where they visited Islamic Research Institute (IRI) and Hameed Ullah Library of the university. Dr. Khalid Masood, Director General IRI and Prof. Ekleif Tarawneh discussed matters of mutual interest. A lunch was also organized in the honour of distinguish guest. High ups of both the universities presented gifts and souvenirs to each other on the occasion.

54th Shariah Course for Judges Starts
54th Shariah Course for judges, law Officers, Public Prosecutors & Registrars started at Shariah Academy of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI). Dr. Anis Ahmed, Vice Chancellor, Ripha International University, Rawalpindi was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the course. While addressing to the inaugural ceremony Dr. Anis Ahmed said that there are ambiguities created regarding Shariah and Islamic Law in the society. He considered that the education system of our country could not explain the features of Islamic Shariah to the students.

Dr. Anis Ahmed said that Islam is based on revelation from the Al-mighty Allah to implement the Islamic law in the society and there is no relation of Islamic laws with the prevailing traditions of the society. Dr. Anis said that it is the responsibility of the Islamic state to provide, education, health and food to the public.

On the occasion Director General Shariah Academy, Dr. Tahir Mansoori said that Pakistan came into being as an ideological state but unfortunately no due importance has been given to Islamic law even instead a subject in the education system. He urged that Islamic law should be permanently included in the syllabi. Upon the role of Shariah Academy Dr. Mansoori said that the academy is regularly organizing courses for the law associated peoples with special focus on Islamic law and in future we will try to extend these courses to the college level. He also expressed that the academy will soon start course on “family law in Islam”.

IRD to hold Reading & Discussion Session with Ms. Qaisera Shahraz
The Iqbal International Institute for Research & Dialogue (IRD) of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) in collaboration with Department of English of the university is holding a Reading and Discussion Session with Ms. Qaisera Shahraz on Tuesday, 19 February, 2013 at 11:00 am, in Seminar Room of Central Library, New Campus of the university.

IIUI to hold a lecture on “Writing Style of Ghalib”
Department of Urdu of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) to hold lecture on “ Writing Style of Ghalib” Today, Tuesday February 18, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., at Seminar Hall, Central Library of the University. Renowned poet and Researcher Parto Roheela shall deliver the lecture on the subject while Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed, acting President IIUI shall preside over the ceremony.

DR. AL-DRAIWEESH PARTICIPATES IN INTL. FORUM FOR “THE REAL EXPERIENCE ON BEST TEACHING”
Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) on invitation of Dr. Suleman Abdullah
Aba Al-Khail, President, Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn-e-Saud University, Saudi Arabia participated in the international forum for “The Real Experience of Best Teaching”. The forum was organized on February 03 to February 05, 2013.

Dr. Al-Draiweesh appreciated the presence of participants in the forum and said that the forum has been organized to excel and improve in creative and academic aspects of the students at university level. Dr. Al-Draiweesh thanked Imam Muhammad Bin Saud University of Saudi Arabia and said that the forum is excellently achieving its objectives to spread Islam, Development of Arabic Language, to improve academic & research to make the society more prosper. He said that this forum is such a source which provides a platform to link teachers of the various universities of Saudi Arabia. He further said that the teachers are the back bone of any university and they should be appreciated upon their research and prominent work.

He introduced the participants with separate and individual identity thinking and experiences. Dr. Al-Draiweesh appreciated the role of Saudi King (Khadim ul Harmain Shareefain) Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud and Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz and other cabinet members for promoting higher education in the country. He said that no doubt it is the privilege of Saudi Government to bring an educational revolution as compare to other Arab countries. He further said that the minister for education for Saudi Arabia has performed excellently to make all parts of this forum successful.

At the end Dr. Al-Draiweesh hoped that the recommendations of this forum shall benefit the teachers of IIUI to promote their courage, emotions and research capabilities. He stressed that the international experiences shall promote the quality of teaching at university level to create a good relationship for the progress of research activities. He further said that in order to cope with the changing environments of teaching the teachers should equip themselves with latest trainings and technology through various courses and training programmes.

IIUI is Pioneer in Professional Development Courses For its staff members: Ms Noor A. Malik
International Islamic University is pioneer in professional development courses for its staff members and HEC will fully support such type of course programs which strengthen employee’s capabilities. It was said by Ms Noor Amna Malik, Director General, Learning Innovation division, Higher education commission (HEC) while addressing to the participants of a month long training program organized by the Institute of Professional Development (IPD), IIUI for the officers of the university. She emphasized the importance of the holistic nature of management and enthused the participants with pertinent examples. Ms Amna Malik enlightened her ideas and practical experiences on Management for Excellence. Dr. Saeed-ul-Hassan Chishti, Director IPD, IIUI ensured that such trainings shall be continued in future in collaborations with Learning Innovation division of the Higher education commission.

The Iqbal International Institute for Research & Dialogue (IRD) in collaboration with Department of English, IIU is holding a Reading and Discussion Session with Ms. Qaisera Shahraz. About the Speaker:
Qaisra Shahraz is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, an award-winning novelist, playwright, education consultant and a college inspector. Born in Pakistan she has lived in Manchester since her childhood. Qaisra has two thriving careers in literature and in education and is a director of Gatehouse books. Qaisra. She has gained three degrees: a BA Honours in English Literature and Classical Civilizations from the University of Manchester as well as two Master Degrees in European Literature and Scriptwriting for Television from the University of Salford.

DCW holds Seerat-e-Sahabyaat Conference
Mrs. Jouhra Abdullah Al-Arifi, Wife of ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan has said that, the history reveals that the followers of the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) were not only Sahaba but Sahabyaat were also very followers of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and these celebrities keep in memories each and every moments of the life of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and make it parts of their daily lives.

She was addressing as a chief guest to the “Seerat-e-Sahabyaat Conference” organized by Dawah Centre For Women (DCW) of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI). Dr. Zaitoon Begum, Director Female Campus presided over the ceremony while renowned religious scholars from twin cities and women were also present on the occasion.

She said that its time to make a promise that we will follow the life of our holy prophet (P.B.U.H) as a guide line for ourselves so that all the Muslims in the world could proud being Muslims and defend their identities and Islamic values. She added that the following of Sahabyaat is the key of success for the Muslims in their lives and life here after.

“Arabic Made Easy” by Dr. Ghazi Published
The Book ‘Arabic Mad Easy’ in two volumes by Dr. INAM UL HAQ, Faculty of Arabic has been published by Jahangir Book Depot, Lahore. The book is prepared for the candidates of competitive exam such as CSS, PMS etc. The most important significance of Arabic Made Easy is that it is the first ever book in the market, prepared for those who opt Arabic as an optional subject for their competitive examinations. The first volume (232 pages) contains Grammar, Urdu & English translations of Odes, Composition & MCQs. 4th Annual Dawah Book Fair Concludes
“Book fair are playing vital role in promotion of knowledge and the efforts of Dawah Academy are highly commendable in this regard as the culture of book reading will be flourish in the society through holding of book fairs”. It was said by Moulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, Chairman, Islamic Ideology Council, he was addressing as a chief guest in the concluding ceremony of 4th Annual Dawah Book Fair, organized by Dawah Academy, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI). Prof. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, Director General Dawah Academy & Vice President IIUI was also present on the occasion.

Moulana Muhammad Khan Sherani said that Muslims have played tremendous role in promotion of knowledge throughout the world in the past but it is sorry to say that now a days other nations have adopted this job and Muslims has forgotten this noble deed. He added that it is the basic teaching of Islam that one should devote his life for seeking of knowledge from cradle to grave because the only way of the Ummah revival is to prove its superiority in every field of knowledge. He said it is the need of the hour that the Islamic Institutions of the public sector should develop close relationship among themselves to get awareness from the problems of each others and to join hands to achieve their objectives.

Prof. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman said that Muslim Ummah has a close relationship with pen and paper and their services to promote knowledge are golden chapter of history. He said that as compared to the other religions, presently Muslims are playing key role to promote knowledge especially Quran & Hatdith and basic teaching of Islam. He said that in order to promote reading habit Dawah Academy shall keep continue organizing such kind of Book fairs in future.

At the end Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani distributed shields among the participated publishers, book sellers and staff members of Dawah Academy who actively participated in the book fair. The 4th Annual Dawah Book Fair was started on February 06 in which more than 50 publishers and booksellers from all over the country participated.

Dawah Academy to hold Concluding Ceremony of 4th Annual Dawah Book Fair
Dawah Academy, International Islamic University, Islamabad is organizing concluding ceremony of “4th Annul Dawah Book Fair” Today, February 11, 2013, at 03:00 pm, at Faisal Masjid, Islamabad. Moulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, Chairman, Islamic Ideological Council shall be the chief guest on the occasion.

Dawah Book Fair is continue since last one week, about 50 Publishers and Booksellers from all over the country are participating in this book fair and providing 30 to 50 percent discount to the visitors. Thousands of peoples from twin cities are visiting Dawah Book Fair daily.

Dr. Al-Draiweesh Visits Iqra College of Technology
Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) visited Iqra College of Technical (ICT), a constituent unit of the IIUI, yesterday. Dr. Javaid Ahmed Tipu, Principal, ICT and teachers welcomed the President IIUI and briefed him about Iqra College of Technology. Dr. Al-Draiweesh visited various classrooms & workshops of the college, and asked the students about their practical work and facilities available for them. Dr. Al-Draiweesh appreciated the efforts of students and encourage them to gain the latest information regarding respective trades.

During the visits of workshops and classrooms Dr. Al-Draiweesh said that the role of skilled youth is very important in the progress of Muslim Ummah and ICT should develop such skilled youth which fulfill the needs of skilled manpower not only in Pakistan but in the other countries of Muslim Ummah. He emphasized the students that while getting education they should also strengthen their commitment to Islam so that they may become a good Muslims as well as skilled one. Dr. Al-Draiweesh said that problems of ICT will be resolve on priority basis and all needs of ICT will be completed in short span of time. He said that ICT will be made an ideal institution of the Muslim Ummah and its door will be opened for the students of Muslim as well as other countries.

4th Dawah Book Fair
4th Annul Dawah Book Fair organized by the Dawah Academy is continued at Faisal Masjid, Islamabad. Thousands of peoples from twin cities are daily visiting Dawah Book fair and purchasing books of their interest. About 50 publishers and booksellers from all over country are providing 30 to 50 percent discount to the visitors. Book fair shall remain continue till February 11, 2013

DEPARTMENT OF TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION ORGANIZED “FACULTY ORIENTATION MEETING” FOR ITS FACULTY MEMBERS
Faculty Orientation Meeting of the Semester Spring 2013 was organized by the department of Translation and Interpretation (T&I) on Wednesday February 6, 2013 in Seminar Room of the Faculty of Law at International Islamic University (IIU), Islamabad. The meeting was presided by Dr. Bashir, Dean Faculty of Arabic and Dr, Habib ur Rahman Asim, Incharge Advanced Studies, was the chief guest of this meeting. In his remarks, the chief guest emphasized on the role of teacher in improving the quality of education.

The agenda of the meeting was presentation on the milestones that the department has achieved and future plans for the development of the department. Dr. Inam ul Haq Gazi, Incharge of the department of Translation and Interpretation made presentation in this regard by stressing on taking steps for the betterment of the department. He also elaborated that the doors of the department are open for every Faculty member to share his thoughts for the development of the department.

4th Annual Seerat-un-Nabi Conference
Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) has said that “there is no contradiction between science and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) also support and strengthen the scientific theories”. He was addressing to the 4th Annual Seerat-un-Nabi Conference organized by the Dawah Academy of the university. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President IIUI was the chief guest on the occasion. Prof. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, Vice President IIUI, Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed, Vice President (Academics) and Dr. Al-Douseri, Director General, Maktab ud Dawah Wa-Al Irshad, Saudi Arabia were also present on the occasion. IIUI faculty members, administrative officer, staff members and teachers and students of Deeni Madaris also attended the conference.

Dr. Masoom said that Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) has given clear instructions for all walks of life but it is sad to say that we have ignored them and expel the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) from our lives, therefore we are facing problems in each and every matter of life. He said that we neither became true Muslims nor escape from the punishment of Allah if we did not follow the Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet (P.B.U.H) in real sense of the terms.

While addressing to the conference Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh said that it is the demand of Uswa-e-Hasanah that we stay away from sectarianism, discrimination and prejudice because these are the main hurdle in our progress and prosperity. He said that it is the need of hour that we follow the teachings of Quran and Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) in every walk of life because it is the only way of salvation and success. He said that Seerat-e-Nabwi (P.B.U.H) demands that we all should pray according to the manners of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). He said that Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) taught the lesson of love, familiarity and unity to the humanity. We do not have these things in our lives. The only way to achieve these things is to obey the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) with letter and spirit because the secret of uplifting and glory of Muslims lies in these golden teachings.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed said that Holy Prophet was an ideal teacher and it is the duty of teachers of modern institutes and Deeni Madaris to follow the teachings and action of Holy Prophet in this respect.

Earlier Prof. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman while welcoming the participants of the conference has said that Allah has made us respected and prominent due to our relations with Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and today also we have dignity and honour due to that relation. He said that whoever takes name of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H), he actually honours himself. He said that Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is the only personality of the human.

Dr. Fazal Ellahi, Moulana Zameer Ahmed Sajid and Moulana Misbah ur Rehman also spoke on the occasion on the subject and highlighted various aspects of the teachings of Holy Prophet.

At the end Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh, distributed gifts and souvenirs among the participants of the conference.

4th Annual Dawah Book Fair Starts
Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) has said that “ The book reading in generally and particularly reading of Islamic books is very important for the Muslims because they get familiar with teachings of Quran & Sunnah and with their sparkling history by reading these books “. He was addressing as a chief guest to the Inaugural Ceremony of 4th Annual Dawah Book Fair on Wednesday, at Faisal Masjid, Islamabad.

He said that this type of book fairs have special significant to promote the book reading culture in the society because in these book fairs readers can get various kinds of books at concessional price under the same roof. Dr. Al-Draiweesh announced on the occasion that next year this book fair will be organized on international level in which publishers from all over the world would be invited due to which not only the book reading culture would be promoted but publisher of various countries would get a chance to share the matters of mutual interest.

Dr. Al-Draiweesh said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are bound in bond of Islamic brotherhood and these are two names on one country. He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will help each other to solve the problems of Muslim Ummah and he hoped that both the countries will able to achive this noble target with the bless of Allah. Dr. Al-Draiweesh told that during a meeting at Mecca he briefed the Imam-e-Kaaba, Abdul Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz as-Sudais about the IIUI. Abdul Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz as-Sudais said that he will visit IIUI soon, he also assured his full cooperation to the International Islamic University.

Earlier Pror. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, Vice President IIUI in his opening remarks said that tradition of book fair will be maintained and the culture of book reading will be promoted in the society as it is the need of the hour.

About 50 renowned publishers from all over the country participated in Dawah book fair. This 6 days book fair will conclude on February 11, 2013 and will remain open for the visitors, from 09:00 am to 07:00 pm every day. publishers will offer 30 to 50 percent discount on their publication to the visitors. Mr. Nasir Farid, Deputy Director Media of Dawah Academy is the coordinator of the book fair.

Later on Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh Presided over the meeting of Deans of Various Faculties and Chairpersons of Departments of the university, organized to discuss preparation / needs of new semester.
