INCOME TAX RETURN FILING TRAINING SESSION HELD

The Office of Professional Training under the Directorate of Human Resource Management & Development (HRM & D), International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) in collaboration with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) conducted a training session “Income Tax Return Filing” at the Auditorium, Fatima Tuz Zohra Block Female Campus.
The training session aimed to equip faculty and staff of the university with essential knowledge and skills for accurate income tax return filing. The training included presentations and hands-on demonstrations, focusing on compliance with FBR regulations and practical tips for efficient tax filing.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Sarwar, Vice President (A&F) / Acting President of the university welcomed participants and highlighted the importance of ongoing professional development at the university. Dr. Muhammad Sarwar expressed gratitude to the FBR for their collaboration and to the participants for their active involvement. He added that training session is part of IIUI’s ongoing efforts to promote professional development and regulatory compliance within its community according to the strategic vision set by the leadership of the institution.
The session began with a welcome note and opening Remarks by the In-charge/Addl. Director Professional Training Office, Ms. Nosheen Syed.
Mr. Muhammad Alam Zaib Khan, Secretary (Tax Education), led the session, supported by FBR experts including Ms. Angel David, Mr. Zia Farooqi, Mr. Salman Khaliq, Mr. Zeeshan Ghafoor, and Mr. Taimoor. The training session provided a comprehensive guidance on understanding income tax basics and navigating the online filing system.
Mr. Zeeshan Ghafoor presented an overview of income tax filing, followed by a live demonstration of the online filing process, offering practical insights. The session concluded with remarks from the I/C Professional Training Office and Mr. Alam Zeb Khan, summarizing the key points and encouraging participants to apply the knowledge in their professional and personal lives as well.
Over 100 participants from various university departments attended the session, with positive feedback highlighting the value of enhanced understanding of tax regulations and procedures.
