IIUI’S NANO-PHOTO CATALYSIS LABORATORY TEAM EARNS ACCOLADES FOR RESEARCH

Associate Prof, Department of Physics, Dr. Shamaila Sajjad and her team at National Research Programme for Universities (NRPU) funded Nano-photo Catalysis Laboratory of International Islamic University (IIU) have conducted various projects (for year 2019-20) on water splitting and photocatalysis.

The research output is published in world highly ranked SCI journals, Journal of Hazardous Material (Impact Factor of 9.03), Journal of Cleaner Production (Impact Factor of 7.249) and International Journal of Hydrogen Energy (Impact Factor of 5.0). In addition to these, Dr Shamaila Sajjad and research students completed and published 16 projects on nanocomposite materials focusing on electrochemical reactions for energy applications and environmental remediation. The collective impact factor achieved from these projects for this year is 55-60. The Nano-photo Catalysis Laboratory is established by Dr. Shamaila Sajjad by 11.7 M HEC funded NRPU project.
