IIUI’s CIRBS and PINSTECH Organize Seminar on Isotopic Techniques

The Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences (CIRBS) at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), in collaboration with the Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology (PINSTECH), organized a se
minar titled “Isotopic Techniques i

n Hydrology and Environment” at Block III Seminar Room.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Ikram Ullah, Head of Department, who appreciated the collaboration and emphasized continued scientific partnerships between IIUI and national research bodies.

The seminar, coord
inated by Dr. Waqar-Un-Nisa, focused on the role of isotopic techniques in environmental and hydrological studies. Key sessions were delivered by Dr. Saira Butt (Deputy Chief Scientist, PINSTECH) on the basic concepts and applications of isotopes in water resources management, Dr. Um-e-Robab (Principal Scientist) on environmental applications of isotopes, and Mr. Nouman Mujahid (Senior Scientist) on the use of stable isotopes in ecological and forensic research.
A large number of Faculty members and students from various disciplines attended th
