IIUI’s CAEPE DISCUSSES INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT IN ELECTRONICS AND ENERGY RESEARCH

 Centre for Advanced Electronics & Photovoltaic Engineering (CAEPE) of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) organized an interactive session on “innovation and technology development in electronics and energy research” here at central library.

The event attended by Dr. Athar Osama, Member Science, Planning Commission of Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Hong Meng, Peking University, China, Rector IIUI, Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Vice President, IIUI Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik, . ED CAEPE, IIUIProf. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, IIUI faculty members and experts relevant to the topic.

IIUI Rector hailed the activity and said that the CAEPE at IIUI is omen of cotemporary approach of university as interdisciplinary research was the future of education and progress. He told that IIUI centers were promoting to mingle the various research disciplines which would ultimately result in best achievements.

In the ceremony, Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Executive Director, Centre for Advanced Electronics & Photovoltaic Engineering (CAEPE) apprised the audience about the objectives of the workshop and briefed about the entre.

He told that the was  Centre aimed to create knowledge and develop the cross-disciplinary marker-driven research focused on the application of Advanced Electronics & Photovoltaic Engineering via processes, components and systems. He told that overall objective of the Centre is to establish a sustainable source of research training for developing qualified manpower with a focus on future requirements, and facility access services in these fields that are applied to the national needs.

He told that the centre was equipped with ISO-class 1—clean room, electronic device design suite, access to commercial FABs, open access model, over 135 projects.
