The ASME Student Section of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has been conferred the ASME Achievement Award 2025 by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
This award has been presented to only 13 student sections globally, with IIUI among the four universities from Pakistan to earn this distinction. The ASME Achievement Award recognizes student sections for their contributions in promoting engineering practices, leadership, outreach, and professional development.
The recognition highlights the efforts of the ASME-IIUI Cabinet Members, the guidance of Faculty Advisor Engr. Asad Asghar Janjua, and the support of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
The department expressed appreciation to ASME for acknowledging the work of its students and reaffirmed its commitment to advancing engineering education and student engagement.
