International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) has been proposed to become part of Sub-regional network on Indigenous and Local Knowledge (ILK) for South and West Asia.
This development came in a workshop at Institute for Global Environment Strategies (IGES), Nepal where Dr. Muhammad Ibrar Shinwari, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science, FBAS represented IIUI and delivered his presentation on “Documentation of Indigenous and Local Knowledge about Medicinal Plants in Pakistan” and proposed the university as Sub-regional network.
