The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) recently witnessed an exhilarating Badminton Tournament as part of its ongoing Sports Gala 2025 at the Male Campus. The competition, held at the NUMAL University Gymnasium, saw spirited participation from students across all faculties, including the Igra College of Technology, with matches played in an intense best-of-three format.
Demonstrating exceptional skill and teamwork, the Faculty of Sciences clinched the championship title, with standout performances by Mr. Ashar, Soud, and Jawad. The Faculty of Management Sciences secured a well-earned second place after a series of competitive matches against the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in the semi-finals.
Muhammad Khalid Ch, Incharge Sports, commended the participants, stating, “This tournament truly showcased our students’ talent and sportsmanship. Their enthusiasm and competitive spirit were commendable, and we anticipate even more exciting events as the Sports Gala progresses.”
The IIUI Sports Gala 2025 continues to foster a culture of healthy competition and camaraderie through its diverse range of indoor games and sporting activities. The sports events at Male Campus will continue till 12th of May, 2025.
