President, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), Dr. Ahmed You
sif Al-Draiweesh called on Secretary General of Muslim World League (MWL), Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa.
IIUI President congratulated Dr. Mohammed on his appointment as Secretary General of the Muslim World League and conveyed felicitation from IIUI Rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai and the whole IIUI community.
Issues pertaining to mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting which mainly included dissemination of Islam’s message of peace and role of educational institutions to combat terrorism and nurture the Muslim Youth in the light of Islamic teachings.
Dr. Al-Draiweesh briefed the MWL Sec. General about the varsity’s vision, ongoing activities, future plans and its role in combating terrorism through holding seminars and conferences for spreading Islam’s true message of peace and harmony. He said that MWL is playing vital role for peace across the world and IIUI is also working on same lines as it is nurturing its students to make them future ambassadors of moderation and peace.
IIUI President also hailed efforts of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and deputy Crown prince for commendable efforts for peace and prosperity of Muslim World.
