IIUI PRESIDENT LEADS JUMMA PRAYER AT FAISAL MASJID, DELIVERS SERMON

President of the International Islamic University in Islamabad (IIUI), Dr. Ahmed bin Yousif Al-Draiweesh delivered  sermon of first Friday of Ramdan at King Faisal Mosque.

In the sermon, Dr. Al-Draiweesh urged the Muslim youth to disseminate Islam’s message of peace adding that fasting is all about patience, virtue and peace.  Hesaid Holy month of Ramadan is an opportunity to get rid of societal issues and prevailing mal practices as it makes the minds, souls and actions as limpid as water. IIUI President hoped that Muslims across the world would be able to make Allah almighty happy and get his blessings by practicing the true spirit of the great month.

He called upon Muslim states to seriously address the issues of Palestine and Kashmir and said that both nations were deprived of basic human right “the freedom”. He condemned the recent killings of Palestinians amid protest against US embassy in Jerusalem.

He maintained that it was the responsibility of the educational institutions and Mosques of the Muslims societies to introduce the public about the true message of Islam and expose the enemies of the sacred religion. IIUI President also prayed for the prosperity, stability and progress of Pakistan and Muslim world.
