IIUI PRESIDENT, ICRC HEAD OF DELEGATION DISCUSS BILTERAL COOPERATION

A meeting took place on Thursday at the new campus of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) between Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President of IIUI and Nicolas Lambert, the Head of Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Pakistan. It was also attended by Dr. Ziaullah Rahmani, ICRC Regional Advisor for Islamic Law and Jurisprudence.

Discussions centered on mutual cooperation, joint ventures, and previous collaborations, including jointly hosted conferences

 President IIUI expressed the university’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with educational and humanitarian institutions.
President IIUI conveyed the university’s intention to revive joint conferences and encouraged the ICRC to propose future collaborative initiatives. He also apprised them about the recent achievements of university in the fields of academic excellence, improvement in rankings and intiatives of society building in the light of new strategic plan of IIUI.
The ICRC Head of delegation praised IIUI’s contributions to human rights and law, emphasizing its role as a valuable platform for scholars and researchers.
both sides agreed that this meeting underscores the commitment of IIUI and ICRC to strengthen their partnership and explore new avenues of collaboration for societal benefit.
