IIUI PRESIDENT HOLDS MEETING WITH CORE TEAM OF DDL

H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) held a meeting with the core team of Directorate of Distance Learning (DDL) at old campus on Friday.

The meeting was attended by Vice President, Administration and Finance/ Director of the Directorate of Distance Learning, Prof. Dr. N.B. Jumani and rest of the members of the core team.

On the occasion, vision of the DDL and its way forward were discussed. H.E. Dr. Hathal appreciated the hard work of the team and stressed that this team work and dedicated efforts shall be needed in future as well as the Directorate now on will have to address the challenges that may be faced in the pathway of success. He said that university is committed to working hard for delivering quality education and producing knowledge in line with the aspiration of Muslim world. He said that online education is the need of hour. Referring to the global pandemic, IIUI President said that importance of online education has become more salient.

He said universities must focus on the use of modern techniques of teaching and learning through distance education. IIUI President maintained that universities must develop detailed policies and they should also adopt innovative solutions. He also emphasized that faculty must remain updated to the advancements of the technology. He assured that new and innovative ideas and suggestion for improvements in this regard will be appreciated.
