IIUI PRESIDENT DELIVERS JUMA SERMON AT FAISAL MASJID

President of the International Islamic University in Islamabad (IIUI), Dr. Ahmed bin Yousif Al-Draiweesh delivered  sermon and led the Jumma  prayer at King Faisal Mosque.

In the sermon, Dr. Al-Draiweesh urged the Muslim youth to disseminate Islam’s message of peace and stressed upon  supporting the opportunities  to get rid of societal issues such extremism and prevailing mal practices.

He maintained that it was the responsibility of the educational institutions and Mosques of the Muslims societies to introduce the public about the true message of Islam and expose the enemies of the sacred religion. IIUI President also prayed for the prosperity, stability and progress of Pakistan and Muslim world. He emphasized that the history is actually a pathway for us to learn and practice and disseminate Islam’s message of humanity and peace. Dr. Al-Draiweesh stressed upon tolerance while saying that terrorism has nothing to do with Islam. He also prayed for the prosperity of the country and also prayed for the rain.

Meanwhile, Dr .  Al-Draiweesh prayed for the departed soul of Justice Fida Muhammad Khan, acting chief justice of the Federal Shariat Court. He paid rich tributes to the late Justice Fida for his services to Shariat court and IIUI. IIUI President said that university lost its valuable mentor who had been always a source of guidance and vision.

Justice Fida(late)  had been part of the IIUI’s Board of Trustees, Board of Governors, Member selection board, Member of the Councils of Constituent Units of IIUI and many other committees of the university.
