Professor Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, Worthy President, International Islamic University, Islamabad, along with a committee comprising Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheman, Vice President (Admin. & Finance); Mr. Muhammad Ramzan Khan, Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan/Advisor, Legal Affairs, IIUI; Mr. Ateeq Ur Rehman Chughtai, Director (HRM&D); Mr. Noor Hussain, Incharge (Finance); and Mr. Saqib Rashid, Deputy Director (HRM), chaired a detailed personal hearing to university employees to address their grievances arising from service matters at the university level.
The President, IIUI, expressed that he is committed to providing career progression opportunities to the university employees in line with the spirit of the university’s legal framework and prescribed policies on merit.
He has already convened long-pending meetings of the Departmental Promotion Committees and the Time Scale Committee immediately after joining the university, which will take effect after formal approval of the Board of Governors in due course.
The committee appreciated the vision and commitment of the President, IIUI, and stated that it marks a vital institutional milestone toward reinforcing transparency, merit, and the welfare of university employees.
The employees also thanked the President, IIUI, for providing them a fair opportunity to present their viewpoint in an open and transparent manner and lauded the vision of Professor Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed to promote a culture of recognition, accountability, and institutional strengthening. They expressed confidence in the leadership of the President to address their grievances in a just manner and to provide them with structured avenues for professional growth. The incumbents were given a thorough hearing opportunity by the committee, headed by the President, IIUI, who participated online from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia due to official duties concerning the affairs of the university.
After a detailed hearing, the employees were informed that the university will address their concerns in absolute accordance with the law and the applicable provisions of the university’s Ordinance, Statutes, and decisions of the BoG, and remains committed to their career progression and professional development.
The employees thanked the committee members and the President, IIUI, with the assurance that satisfied employees put in greater efforts to serve the university with zeal.
