IIUI PRESIDENT ADDRESSES WORKSHOP ON PERFORMA FOR PROGRAM & COURSE SPECIFICATION

H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President, International Islamic University (IIU) addressed the workshop and training session on Performa for program specification and course specification organized by Directorate of Quality Assurance.

Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi said on the occasion that IIUI through its strategic plan shall be soon among the ranks of famous educational institutions. He said that university is all set to introduce a faculty of computing in addition to various infrastructural projects. He said keeping in the view the needs of hour, the university has launched its virtual and online portal for learning whereas the university has also plans to double the induction of international students.

Talking about the importance of training, he said it is imperative to have trainings of faculty and nonacademic employees as it helps in bringing positive change and polish the abilities of human resource.
IIUI President said that the university is keen to address the needs of society and it has also set its patterns according to the modern needs. He said it has started its courses through an online portal for China, Central Asian states and soon degree programs shall be launched through this portal across the world. He said IIUI has more than 50 thousand Alumni who are the university’s ambassadors and university is mulling to engage this asset to help in the progress of university through their expertise and skills. He also urged students to be involved in innovative projects. He added that projects of Artificial intelligence shall be encouraged. Talking about the university’s new strategic plan, he said by the start of new year the university shall commence implementation of its newly prepared strategic plan and hoped that it will be another step to university’ new journey of success. The Workshop was attended by Deans, faculty members, Director QAD Dr. Rahemat Elah and resource persons of the workshop including Prof. Muhammad Amir and Dr. Shazia Naureen.
