IIUI PLANTATION CAMPAIGN: VARSITY PLANTS 1K SAPLINGS

International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), amid its Spring Tree Plantation Campaign, has planted 1000 fruit trees at its new campus and this leg of the campaign was inaugurated by the varsity Rector Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, and President IIUI, Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh.

The plants of citrus and guava have been endowed by Muhammad Saeed Foundation and the activity was result of an MoU between the varsity and the foundation which was inked other day.

The MoU was signed by President IIUI, while the ceremony was also attended by Prof. Dr. Bashir Khan, Prof. Dr. Munir, Prof. Dr. Arshid Zia and other  high  IIU officials.

It is pertinent to mention that IIU Spring Tree Plantation Campaign 2017 has been initiated by IIU Landscape Development and Biodiversity Conservation Program, lead by Dr. Muhammad Ibrar Shinwari, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science and his team, aimed to plant thousands of plants in Spring 2017. The current campaign is supported by various organizations like Clean & Green, Pakistan, Muhammad Saeed Foundation, CDA, Green Circle Organization, ARL (Pvt) and NCPC.
