IIUI ORIC Forum 2025 Unveils Research and Innovation Calendar

The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has unveiled the tentative calendar for the 2025 ORIC Forum. Spearheaded under the guidance of the Vice President (Research & Enterprise), the initiative aims to cultivate a culture of research excellence, innovation, and strategic industry linkages across the university.

The forum will include a comprehensive series of workshops, seminars, and panel discussions focused on enhancing research capacity in proposal writing, grant acquisition, commercialization, entrepreneurship, and collaborative research. It is designed to benefit faculty, students, and the wider research community. Specialized sessions will also be held under thematic working groups dedicated to Industrial Linkage and Commercialization, Social Sciences and Humanities Research, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Research and Innovation.

The first activity, a “Workshop for the Editorial Teams of IIU Journals,” is scheduled for April 30, 2025. Faculties have been requested to circulate the activity calendar among their members and nominate editorial teams for participation. Further information, including nomination forms and registration procedures, will be shared in due course.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amir, Director ORIC, is the focal point for the forum. The university community is encouraged to actively participate in the events and contribute to advancing IIUI’s research and innovation ecosystem.
