The Directorate of Student Affairs (Male Campus) at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), in collaboration with the Tafseer Department of the Faculty of Usuluddin, organized a Qirat and Naat competition at the new campus auditorium.
The event commenced with a welcome note by the Director of Student Affairs (M), Dr. H. Ghufran Ahmad, while the Dean of the Faculty of Usuluddin, Prof. Dr. Taj Afsar, presided over the proceedings. Several faculty members also actively participated in the program.
In the Qirat competition, Muhammad Safdar secured first place, followed by Nisar Hayat in second, while an Indonesian student, Salih, claimed third position.
In the Naat competition, Muhammad Munir achieved first place, with Muhammad Safdar and Muhammad Ali Kazim securing second and third positions, respectively.
The winners were awarded certificates and cash prizes by the Director of Admin & Works, IIUI, Dr. Inam ul Haq, as a gesture of encouragement.
In his concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Taj Afsar expressed his gratitude to the Student Affairs section and the Tafseer Department for organizing the event. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the teachings of the Holy Quran.
Dr. Syed Asif Mahmood from the Tafseer Department served as the coordinator of the event.
