IIUI, NAHE Inaugurate National Outreach Program for Higher Education Management

The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), in collaboration with the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC), on Monday inaugurated the National Outreach Program for Higher Education Management, a five-day leadership training program being held from January 26 to 30, 2026 at IIUI. The participants included Officers of the university hailing from the grades 17-18.

Launched under the Higher Education Development Project (HEDP), the program aims to strengthen administrative and leadership capacities of management teams from public sector universities. The initiative focuses on modern administrative practices, strategic planning, financial governance, professional communication, use of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, and personal and professional development.

Speaking at the inaugural session, Dr. Fauzia Janjua, Dean Faculty of Languages and Literature, emphasized an open-to-learning attitude and encouraged participants to use the training as an opportunity to transform their professional approach. She stressed the importance of follow-up and feedback and appreciated NAHE’s contribution to capacity building. She also proposed a women empowerment training initiative through collaboration between IIUI and NAHE.

Syed Hassan Aftab, Vice President Administration and Finance, IIUI, thanked NAHE and HEC for the opportunity and termed the program an important component of continuous learning. He noted that such trainings have a lasting impact and help strengthen professional understanding among participants.

Ms. Saadia Bukhari, Deputy Director NAHE, highlighted the objectives and outreach model of the program, stating that the modules have been carefully designed to cover key administrative areas ranging from financial management to AI-based workplace efficiency.

The session was also attended by Mr. Sohail Raza Mangi, Assistant Director NAHE. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Saima, Coordinator of the training program.

The initiative reflects IIUI’s commitment to ethical, transparent, and result-oriented administrative practices in higher education.
