Office of Vice President, Female Campus celebrated the International Women’s Day. To mark the day in a seminar at female campus the speakers highlighted the courage and achievements of women in various fields.
The keynote speaker and country head of the collaborative organisation, The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) highlighted the services of women in the society.
In her address, Ms. Shaheena from the Hashoo Foundation shared initiatives take by her organization for the women empowerment and emphasized the contribution of women in different walks of life. Ms. Farida Yaseenzai, Ph.D. Scholar, IIUI and Ms. Sadaf Dar of the Rural Support Programme Network, shared their success stories as women.
Prof. Dr. Samina Malik Vice President Female Campus addressed the audience mentioning the r
ole of women in social and educational development. The event was attended by the chairpersons, Chief Medical Officer, Students’ Advisor, Manager Allied Bank Limited and students of various departments.
Towards the end of the program, there was a quiz competition conducted by Mr. Syed Parras of the Technology Times.
