IIUI Leadership Mourns Demise of Former Rector Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman Khan

The leadership of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the passing of its former Rector, former Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court and former Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman Khan.

In a condolence message, the IIUI President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed paid tribute to the late jurist, describing him as one of the father figures of the university who played a pivotal role in laying the foundation of its academic excellence and institutional growth.

He noted that Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman Khan was widely regarded as a senior and highly experienced judge whose services to the judiciary and education sector will be remembered with respect.

The President said that the entire IIUI community has been deeply saddened by his demise, terming it an irreparable loss not only for the university but also for the country’s legal fraternity.

The IIUI fraternity extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul.
