
The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) concluded its Orientation Week with a dedicated session for the newly admitted students of the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Language and Literature.
The program was held at the Auditorium of Faculty Block-II and aimed to guide freshmen as they begin their academic journey at the university.
The session opened with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by the National Anthem of Pakistan. Director Students Affairs (Male) Dr. Ghufran Ahmad welcomed the new students and briefed them on key academic and administrative matters essential for a smooth transition into university life. He urged students to view this phase as a turning point for achieving their academic, personal, and career goals.

Highlighting the global demand for professionals in education, language, and literature, Dr. Ghufran emphasized the strong reputation of IIUI graduates both nationally and internationally. He encouraged students to uphold this legacy through dedication, hard work, and ethical conduct. He also underlined the importance of participation in sports and extracurricular activities, noting the university’s extensive indoor and outdoor sports facilities designed to support students’ physical and mental well-being.
Dr. Ghufran advised students to maintain a positive mindset, work in teams, and foster creativity while making full use of IIUI’s resources and support systems. He stressed the need for high moral and ethical values in all academic and social engagements on campus.
Faculty members Mr. Rashid Mahmood from the Department of English Language and Literature and Dr. Zafar Iqbal Chaudhary from the Faculty of Education also addressed the gathering. They offered guidance on academic excellence and shared insights into departmental opportunities, encouraging students to strive for exceptional performance.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Muhammad Azhar, In-charge of the Faculty of Education, who assured students of the university’s commitment to providing quality education, skilled faculty, and comprehensive support throughout their studies. A group photo of the new students with faculty members and officials marked the end of the ceremony.
