IIUI Holds Umrah Balloting for Employees; President Emphasizes Institutional Care and Openness

In a significant step toward fostering a culture of inclusivity and institutional well-being, the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) held a balloting ceremony for Umrah nominations among employees from Grades 1 to 16.

The names of a total of 24 employees were drawn, including four women. The event reflects the university community’s commitment to equitable recognition and employee engagement, ensuring their facilitation in performing a vital pilgrimage.

President IIUI, Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, graced the occasion as chief guest and reaffirmed his commitment to an open and empathetic leadership approach. He emphasized that university leadership should remain accessible and supportive, encouraging all officials to foster a welcoming environment for both staff and students.

In a light-hearted moment, the President conducted an impromptu Islamic quiz with small prizes, using the opportunity to promote engagement and collegiality across all tiers of the university.

Speaking on behalf of the Grade 1–16 employees, Mr. Tariq Khan expressed gratitude for the initiative and extended full support to the university leadership. He accentuated the staff’s commitment to collective progress and institutional harmony. Reciprocally, the President appreciated the gesture and reiterated the importance of working together as a unified team.

The event not only highlighted IIUI’s commitment to employee welfare through initiatives like Umrah facilitation but also reflected the leadership’s efforts to cultivate a collaborative and inclusive institutional ethos.
