IIUI Holds Seminar on the Prophetic Model of Worship in the Last Ten Nights of Ramadan

The Directorate of Student Affairs (Male) and the Community Services Committee of the Department of Hadith & Its Sciences at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) organized a seminar on “The Prophetic Model of Spending the Last Ten Nights of Ramadan.

The seminar, held at the Faculty of Usuluddin, featured renowned scholars who shed light on the spiritual significance of the last ten nights of Ramadan. Dr. Hafiz Ghufran Ahmad, Director of Student Affairs (Male) and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Management Sciences, welcomed the attendees and introduced the distinguished speakers. Speakers included Dr. Abdul Kareem Al Rhaili, Head of the Department of Aqeedah & Philosophy, and Dr. Sajjad Ilahi Tariq, Lecturer at the Department of Hadith.

Dr. Al Rhaili emphasized the importance of maximizing worship during the last ten nights, highlighting various forms of devotion such as nightly prayers, charity, and Itikaf. He elaborated on how these practices align with the Prophetic tradition and their spiritual rewards.

Dr. Sajjad Ilahi Tariq followed with an insightful discussion on Laylatul Qadr, regarded as the most sacred night of Ramadan. He explained the significance of seeking this blessed night in the odd-numbered nights of the last ten days, as guided by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The seminar provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the prophetic approach to worship, reinforcing the importance of prayer, charity, and seclusion in the final days of Ramadan. The event concluded with a group photo, symbolizing the spirit of unity and learning within IIUI.
