IIUI HOLDS SEMINAR ON PSYCHOTHERAPY IN CLINICAL SETTINGS

A one day seminar on “Psychotherapy in Clinical Settings” was held at International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI).

jumaniOn the occasion, lecture was delivered by Keynote speaker, Prof. Dr. Farrukh Z. Ahmad, Founder of Clinical Psychology in Pakistan.

He highlighted key aspects of Psychotherapy in Clinical Settings.

Dr. Farrukh is founder of one of the Departments of Psychology, at Karachi University and two institutions (Institution of Clinical Psychology, ICP and Institute of Professional Psychology, IPP at Karachi, Pakistan) which contributed a chain of highly qualified professional trained Clinical Psychologists in the field of Psychology.

The event was presided over by Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, IIUI Prof. Dr. Nabi Bux Jumani. He appreciated services of Dr. Farruk in Clinical Psychology. He also said that this seminar is highly important for the students of Psychology for the diagnosis and treatment in different clinical settings. Director Academics/ Chairman Department of Psychology (male) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily and Chairperson Department of Psychology female campus Dr. Kehkashan Arouj were also present on the occasion.

Dr. Kehkashan Arouj thanked participants and emphasized on the ethical guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment in professional way.
