An appreciation ceremony was arranged here at Faisal Masjid campus on Thursday in the honour of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) officials who contributed in organizing the 11thconvocation of the university.
As many as 400 people joined the ceremony hosted by IIUI President Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh who personally distributed cards among all the officials. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh in his speech appreciated all the departments and said all the committees delivered in exquisite manners. IIUI President furthered the convocation has revealed that IIUI has a remarkable talent in all the aspects such as research, academic and managerial skills. He said the unity shown amid the mega event was remarkable. He maintained that he was personally thankful to all the officials from top to bottom. IIUI President, on the occasion, stressed that the unity shown at the convocation must continue. He also highlighted the importance of IIUI’s vision.
The ceremony was also addressed by Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily, Vice President Academics who thanked IIUI President for encouraging the all the organizing committees and officials. He vowed that all milestones will be achieved in future with same dedication and devotion and commitment.
Dr. Farkhanda Zia, Vice President Female Campus also addressed the ceremony and congratulated all 
participants on successful arrangement of convocation . She said that total number of female graduates was more than male students and it was an encouraging aspects. She also highlighted importance of role of women in progress of society and also discussed rights of women in Islam. She appreciated the female staff for dedicated duty during the convocation.
The ceremony was also attended by Director Administration, Khalid Mehmood Raja, Director Examination, Inam ul Haq and other relevant officials including chairmen and members of the committees.
